@10Z4IosI-nzp FWIW, he can't take it with him.
They announced early because word leaked to Bloomberg: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-09-11/oracle-grappled-for-months-over-disclosure-of-ceo-hurd-s-illness
Plus they missed the quarterly revenue number, so neither that was the final straw or they pulled back on the cloud fraud knowing that he was being let go
He cashed out his Oracle stock last week.
See the big picture... running out of cash for stock buy backs to prop up stock price! Fake medical condition! Keep fake profit! Bye s—ers!
Why wouldn't he love his Oracle cash cow, after pocketing $100M last year whilst telling us we cannot have any pay rise in the 6 years since our takeover.
He’s getting ready for the SEC cloud fraud lawsuit - will claim hat he’s too ill and his part of the lawsuit needs to be deferred. He’s quite the fox
O just announced Q1 numbers. I thought it wouldn't be until Friday. From what I can tell, it met expectations.
Here is the internal correspondence.. "long medical leave of absence" was not in there, just simply "medical leave of absence":
To all my friends and colleagues at Oracle,
Though we all worked hard together to close the first quarter, I've decided that I need to spend time focused on my health. At my request, the Board of Directors has granted me a medical leave of absence. As you all know, Larry, Safra and I have worked together as a strong team, and I have great confidence that they and the entire executive management team will do a terrific job executing the exciting plans we will showcase at the upcoming OpenWorld.
I love Oracle and wish you all success during my absence.
Mark
