Is anyone really surprised that JV is demonizing Gil Hatch or anything to do with Webster? The company is spending significant coin flying him on cooperate jets back-and-forth from Rochester and also providing him with personal security when he visits. He hates Webster and is probably ticked he hasn’t been able to cash-in his Golden Parachute yet as Icahn and Deason likely promised him Xerox would be sold by now. I wonder how he would handle a trip to Mexico City or Rio where security is a real issue?

You are absolutely right. I heard the comments about the cow pastures.
The intent though, was to bring the customers face to face with the scientists, engineers, and production that was taking place on site. Customers could see the iGen built from start to finish, and they could talk to the people who were responsible for that.

That has changed though. It's no longer what it was.
Now it may as well be a trip to a cow pasture...

I never heard John V say anything negative about the Gil Hatch Center but I did hear some ACS Account Execs complain about having to “drive by cow pastures” on the way to the center. They felt it should have been in a big city to impress clients. Not my opinion but this is what I heard then.

Just my 2 cents, and please understand that I left Xerox in 2015, amid the mess that has escalated.
I was part of the team that opened the Gil Hatch Center.
Many people in senior management opposed the idea of spending 10 million dollars to create the center.
Gil's vision was to put all of our products into one place, where customers would have access to production and engineering, research and development.
If there was a question at an event, we could have an sme in place within 15 minutes to discuss concerns in person.
NYC or other big hubs were discussed, but it came down to bringing customers to where they could see it all from beginning to end, and have access to the people who were making things happen.
These days, I'm not sure where it stands. Gil's vision was a great one, but the company is no longer the same and unfortunately the days of the Gil Hatch Center may be numbered.
I can just wish the best to all who are left.
Peace

I've never heard of him publically demonizimg the GHC. But I've heard that they would like it in NYC or near a major hub rather in Webster
