I've encouraged this at my point. Mass Mark offs or full on strike. Nobody gives a sh–. They are only out for themselves. Nobody wants to use our greastest tool for collective bargaining chip. Unions take my money but my union is divided one not a brotherhood. Just later off 4 of my guys last week and I will probably be gone by new year 2019 was blood bath for this greedy deceitful Norjoke Southern company I'm at a lost

It amazes me that no one has the guts anymore to stick up for what is right in this Country.

No need for name calling here. It makes you sound like one of them. I believe that over time they have made us feel as if we have no power.... on the contrary, we do as a union. As one writer said, there’s interlay to many (yes men) in the ranks that won’t go for it. But there is one way you could get the point across and let the greedy, gluttonous pigs know you’re serious. Its as simple as marking off.... used to be called a sick out. You’re essentially striking with out striking... do it enough times and you’ll hurt them where they’ll feel it the most and you don’t have to worry about being ordered back to work.

Actually you can strike , but you have to have a leader who is willing to take one for the team. And our leaders don’t have much spine , but they do have open pockets to take your dues, and kick backs from the company to keep silent...

No, because the guys that are holding huge seniority would not risk it! The people still working are holding on to hope. There is no brotherhood

That last reply was absolutely 100 percent correct. If everyone including these worthless unions would have done that a long time ago then maybe we would be a little better off. To all these so called local chairmans and anyone else who actually believes in this c-ap I'm here to tell all of you and the national that you're as greedy and as much a piece of work as NS. It was all an expensive game.

For those of you that think you can't strike, you need to read all the by laws. A strike can happen within the class 1's. It's just avoided at all costs. Now if the idea of everyone quitting at the same time ever took place, then that would be even better yet. The president can't order to go work for a company that voluntarily quit from. A mass walk-off would get sh– load of unwanted attention. How well do you think these class 1's would run then. Plus can someone tell me exactly what the hell the union has really done for ANYONE?? You pay your monthly dues, bad sh1t happens, and they're no where to be found. Then every few years they negotiate a BS contract, and pound it up everyone's a55. Hell if you've been watching the news, then you'd know about what's going on with the UAW. They're being accused of fraud on a large scale. Is there anyone else that really thinks other unions are completely honest about their operations? I sure as hell don't. Name a union that actually stands for its workers and doesn't fold. Anyone? I'll wait!

Anyone with a backbone would remember what the real Union's went through to get us to this point, and realize if nothing is done nothing will get accomplished and we will be left with what we had 80-100 years ago. If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen, or just sell out to the company and complain on the internet.

You can strike but when the President orders you back to work and the Union's refuse then 1 member from each representing union has to report to jail, to pacify the defiance of the order.

Then don't go back.

You cannot strike you mo–n. President will order you back to work. Get off this site, you apparently don't have a clue who you work for.

This is what we need to do across ALL Class 1 railroads but unfortunately to many yesmen and boot lickers as well as non union support this idea is dead in the water.
