Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

This person has inside info?

I was reading through some of the old posts and there is one by @XD2BblD from 5 months ago that seems to be coming true, is this a person with real information? The first 2 have happened over the last few months. Any other movement in the other exec changes? I know the CEO has not gone away unfortunately. Here is the post -

Title: Exec heads need to roll
There needs to be some exec changes

  • sales did not see this down turn at all. Sales leads need to be changed at VP level
  • investor relations has not messaged where the company is going and the stock has not moved much
  • what is business excellence VP and department except a place to keep a person who has been with STX too long
  • STX firmware is terrible and too much turnover.
  • might be time for CEO change. need CEO with a plan

Change the execs or just remove the department and see if anyone notices
any other changes?

Yeah, we don't know how to run our own business groups excellent, so we need to have another entire VP level department created for that. Problem is, we've been told to be excellent, but not how to do that. If it means spending money. Forget about it. C-appy will do just fine.

CEO change has to be coming soon. All the wishing for growth without execution has to be wearing on the activist investors. And all of this useless executive positions have to be addressed too

There have been some shakeups at the director ranks of firmware and nothing at VP. Business excellence lost their best people in the last 6 months who were driving real change but nothing at VP level and that person is not going anywhere until CEO changes hopefully soon.
