CSC notice period is 12 weeks hence the PILON

The employee needs to give DXC 30 days notice but under current VR you don’t need to work it.

Legacy CSC it was £2800 on top of a weeks salary for each year plus a months notice pay (as soon as your accepted your out the door) and PILON which is 3 months salary.

PILON everyone gets, a weeks salary is law too, the only incentive was £2800, what I don’t know is if £2800 is still offered with the ‘enhancement’ or whether it’s just a months salary in which case it’s not an enhancement.

Don’t be fooled by these b--tards.

Its per contract, standard HPE (when l was shown the door) is 1 month per year capped at 12m, this new deal may give you another month.

My manager was ex CSC and he remarked the CSC terms were pretty bad.. (i guess mikey thought ahead !).

Some lucky souls TUPE'D in from Public sector and would have better terms or no max cap's but they are pretty rare - Though i think these have been whittled down recently ...

Whatever you redundancy terms are in your contract (and your contract could be a CSC one, a HPE one or if you came to CSC under TUPE from a client, your original employers contract).... plus an extra month's salary if you volunteer to go now.

The "standard" CSC UK contract terms are one week's money for every year you have been with the company.

Those people who came from client accounts and are still on their original employers terms can sometimes get a lot more - one guy I know in this position gets a month's money for every year he worked (starting from his employment with the client and continuing through CSC and DXC to today).

This is fairly normal for the UK, the CSC contract is pretty much the legal minimum only enhanced by removing the limit for the number of years payable.

I realise that this is more generous than the USA offers but equally not as much as you will find in mainland Europe - which is why the USA gets hit hard for WFR and after that the UK gets hit. Mainland Europe usually dodges the bullets because they are expensive to get rid of and their Works Councils fight tooth and nail for their employees - something that for some reason never happens in the UK, despite the UK having a Works Council too.
