Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

There are not enough positions to go around.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but heard from a reliable source there were other RIF’s at Humana, not just LTIH, but were not public knowledge. Hence the fact we were given 90 days notice and time on the clock to look for jobs. Humana does not want to pay any more severance than absolutely necessary. Maybe you will get an internal position, probably not due to demand and competition.

SNP support, RIF’d employees. Yes you were moved over to assist with the department getting caught up. But, your getting paid so, it is what it is. No postings for that department at this time. So, unfortunately you will not be kept, even if you want to be. Which is contradictory to what they were told.

It may be the right time to move on. God bless all of you and may we all find employment elsewhere. Thank you Humana, but it’s a business, and I do not take it personally.

How about firing your employees one by one and coming up with bogus reasons to do so? So you don't have to pay severance and offer all the goodies. Nice thing to do, right? After all, just bought Conviva and they can do all the work for the UM.

There are RIFs several times a year. Sometimes those RIFed are those that are on the lower end of performance and quality, but not 100% of the time if it's an entire department going bye bye. There certainly are not enough of those particular roles to go around at times. My Best advice is to work as hard as you can every day, take minimal unscheduled time off and don't complain.

Well I’m a white CM RN and this job sticks and my boss is tough. If it’s worse for non-white workers I feel sorry for you guys. I sense they hate everyone equally .
