Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Don't leave until you have something lined up. Plain and simple.

So you're afraid of joining another company?! Why? They'll be friendlier, as the company culture is way superior, they'll train you better, you'll be working on technically more relevant stuff (good for career longevity), your resume prestige will be on another level (i.e. you'll get hounded on Linkedin with great offers), you won't be under constant threat of being layed off, and your compensation will be 1.5-2x more. Sorry, am I missing something why you should be afraid? LOL. Come on, snap out of it don't be a punk. Have confidence in yourself.

Start prepping, and when you're 100% prepped, start applying. Your next job will only be as good as your prep. You'll need a good 4-6 months Leetcode to pass the FANG interviews.

Don't discount yourself either! The fact that J hired you means you have a good brain/resume. Getting an interview with FANG ain't that hard at all! They hire all the time! You WILL get your interviews! But way more important is that you prepare like a MOFO! You WILL get challenged, but no mental achievements above what you've done in the past. The rest will fall into place.

Report back when you hit the home run!

Good Luck!

Thought that @YDWfYlN-foa posted some good advice.

@YD5RbR8-4qrb "Hard to get anything of worth done at juniper because there's so much nitpicking and second guessing...because there's no confidence and no mojo."

=======================

Well marketing has load trying to pimp spin old products as new fangled tech.

Hozay, congrats on getting an offer. If I knew when I was interviewing what I know now, I would not have joined. MM is an aggro micromanager who tends to drive out leadership who are interested in people development. I think we're doing some cool stuff with marketing tech, but juniper is not the only place you can do that. Read the forums here...it's rare that sales and marketing get along perfect, but marketing at juniper just doesn't have good street cred with other BUs. That will make your job difficult. Hard to get anything of worth done at juniper because there's so much nitpicking and second guessing...because there's no confidence and no mojo.

Juniper marketing is poorly run, with lots of politics, drama, incompetence and various levels of chaos from lack of planning and prioritization. It all stems from poor leadership from the CMO down to Directors. I don't think they are knowledgeable on the technologies they market and marketing technologies. Double whammy. In summary, juniper marketing is a sh-- hole and for me, it should be avoided at all costs.

Juniper has been hunger games show for a very long time. Ask those in software the stories of how the messiahs have risen and promoted to the top.

Tired of being a sitting duck where my fate has nothing to do with my effort, performance, or results. Juniper is turning into Hunger Games, and I'm going to find some other game to play with my career. This s---s.
