Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

What happened at Global/GIS?

Does anyone know how many people worked in the Florida office? How many people were let go? I'll admit, I didn't know much about Global, nor how they operated. Did they just have the one location? Anyone have any insight?

Yeah if ur counting on HR to do that.. here goes any weak link for internal Infrastucture improvement... we got the WORSE HR team worldwide!!!! They have plenty to blame cuz of their low understanding of what their purpose is in the company so far they are a big part of this comoany’s Main assets regarding best employees let go by these mo--ns! Let’s not get into promoting id--ts at the moment to take over this sunken ship.

I keep wondering when XBS and the cores will update their websites with the location changes. We still haven't done ours yet. Surprisingly, there's been no directive from Xerox about this. Or at least it's not filtering down to the right people.

@XWyN7lh-2kym Can you tell me how many people were in your office?

Was anyone let go? Global was a mystery to most of us non-manager people.

Yes, our office has been closed and we are all being asked to work from home.

This was one of the cuts that was long overdue. The key leaders in Tampa never addressed the fact that there were competing cores in the same geographic market along with redundant finance functions, CFOs, Presidents, etc. However, they still were better than the mouth-breathers at Xerox - their functions were run like it was the 1980s. Horrible systems, people not communicating, no responses, etc.

I've been to the GIS office in Tampa, it's in a generic, suburban, office park and I doubt it cost much to lease. Just goes to show that if something at Xerox is not critical to a key function or to the leadership's compensation, it's getting sold or thrown out the door.

Oh, it closed? So there was just one "Global" office? Or did they have any other locations? The company that acquired all the other cores... is no more? I wish someone from Global would write in here...

I also wish there was a way to spread this website far and wide... I feel like this is the only way we can communicate candidly with each other, even if it is anonymous.
