Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Is DXC secure enough to store your birth certificate?

Of course this is just another way to erode morale and save another nickel for executive bonuses. The new dependent verification requiries a birth or marriage certificate to be uploaded into the cloud for verification. Given the recent hacks, maybe we should just send a copy to China or Facebook so they can save some bandwidth. I have less than zero faith that these documents will be kept secure of deleted after verification. Of course this is just another way to erode morale and save another nickel for executive bonuses.

It's interesting to attend all-hands meetings where execs claim there's a lot of room for growth, and that they really need people to stay and get with the new program. Then their actions show total disregard for those same employees.

At the beginning of the HPE/CSC merger, management talked about how excited they were to be the only "Pure Play Global Services Provider" or some such rot. During the meetings, people were cheering, posts were done on how excited the employees were to be put in such a dominant positions. I was horrified. We can see how that works out for employees. No way to stem the financial bleeding with other cyclical businesses picking up the slack, except to fire, fire, fire employees. Keep this in mind when they describe how great being a "Pure play AWS reseller" works for out us. It probably will be good if you have no other skills and make the minimum wage. Those of us with skills and a higher salary are toast.

Another failure in leadership. There's one exec I trust to give the real story with minimal spin. I hesitate to mention their name, so they dont get on ML's next hit list. Watch what they do, not what they say.

@X0WXwJe-vhg -- Not everyone who came from HPE was excited. Some of us actually did our homework and knew ML was going to be worse than Meg. Some of us have had exit strategies from the beginning. However, some of us are NOT tech/coding people so we don't have as many opportunities out there. Some of us are stuck but continuing to apply and look for other jobs until we get WFR'd.

In response to “I would like to create a Survey Monkey for them to see what commonalities existed with those laid off.“

Survey results are in:

1) You were stupid enough to actually work. Anyone with an IQ above 65 knows that the best way to survive at DXC is to do NOTHING.

2) You were more useless than the average urinal. After all, the urinal is still there.

3) You were too lazy to find a real job outside of this cesspool. Now the decision has been made for you.

4) You had an arrogant sense of self-importance that blinded you to the reality of your uselessness.

5) You blame “incompetent management” for your demise, yet they are still employed while you stand in the soup line.

Have a great day.

The only people who cheered at those early dxc days were HPE people who imagined nothing could be worse than Meg. Those same people also were assured that pay raises were coming in this new exciting company.

CSC people just expected more of the same and wondered just how quickly Mikey would burn through all of those HPE bodies...

Never believe on what is said in " all-hands meetings "... they themselves don't understand what they say. So it's just waste of time for the employees who join the town hall. Their intention is clear - except leadership/management guys, none would be paid competitive salary, no matter how skilled one is or how significantly he/she contributes. In DXC, if someone is getting salary as per the industry standard, she is at high risk of being WFRd. As simple as that.

I would like to get in contact with everyone in the US who was laid off on/around December 7th, 2018. I would like to create a Survey Monkey for them to see what commonalities existed with those laid off.
