Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Oracle can’t live from old fame forever

Larry Ellison is nowadays looking more to me like the company's spokesperson, or even an actor in a tv commercial, as the level of his optimism always surprises me. But the truth is different, isn’t it? Oracle is failing on the cloud market, as it didn’t produce a product that is better than the ones produced by competitors. Nothing wrong with trying to learn from our mistakes and improve, but at this point, it would take a lot of work, innovation, and even a big stroke of luck to get on top of the market.

Oracle needs to fire the piss poor leaders that extract the wealth from the Oracle behemoth and replace them with a manager with an engineering background. Microsoft got rid of the dead weight and followed this approach and it's paid off extremely well for them.

Most of the top level management is made of malignant narcissists. Many of them have a seriously sadistic side. It's not a company where any normal person wants to work.

Oracle has an internal bullying culture which is the reflection of his founder LE.

Oracle has always been a one man show - LE built it and now he’s destroying it to take it to the grave with him. That’s what narcissist do.
