Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

This is digital transformation?

Am in one of the new digital transformation centers. We are given computers that do not work. We can not connect to the company network. The "help desk" at DXC can not fix anything. Senior management within the company changes faster than anyone can keep up with and some people don't know who they work for or what they are supposed to be doing.

Leadership seems to uniformly think that our CEO is a mad man that is out of control, surrounded by a bunch of yes men blindly following advice from a team from McKinsey that is giving terrible advice that is destroying the company and its future prospects. Leaders in the company openly say such things which was quite shocking to me. Beginning to think coming here was a mistake.

The "help desk" at DXC can not fix anything. It's not the "Help Desk" it is called the "Service Desk". They don't help they assign tickets with mostly incorrect information to more off-shore people who don't know what they are doing either.

“CEO is a mad man that is out of control”

They’ve got that one right 😂

Consider yourself as a stupid fool for even joining DXC. You should have done your background checks before joining the company.

No point in complaining now

I completely understand your point of view. I left DXC half a year ago and now I feel how unhappy this company made me. I feel your frustration that DXC had offered you a job and you made in your view a bad decission. But always know " you win or you learn" - this was a learning. You will find a good job soon and then you will realize the value of a job that understands your value. Look further and find the job that gives you the credit you deserve! It is outside DXC.

"If you don't like your employer, you're free to look for something new." I am but I am just over 58 and most employers think your going to retire in a short time, so its hard to find work.

I don't want to be on call anymore, or have to leave my house to go to work unless I get a huge increase. So here I am till DXC says I am gone. Every Thursday I wonder if I will get the call.

Yep, about right, just another ordinary day in DXC. Have they bought you any pens, paper or toilet roll yet? What a foo king shower! 😂

You know the saying:

I never thought I'd hear the terms: "CEO is a mad man that is out of control" and "coming here was a mistake" in the same sentence ?

Well, that doesn't apply here.

Even if he does not leave , DXC would WFR him soon. It's DXC's culture.

No one is making you stay. If you don't like your employer, you're free to look for something new.
