Does S-xual Harassment happen in other areas of Verizon and nothing get done about it? I'm curious if the boys club exists all throughout Verizon. NW01is going through a massive issue with s-xual harassment but between employees and the DM, managers or HR go through the system so poorly. I'm doing my own investigation and I would love to hear if we are alone in this or if its company wide

Y'all don't get it. You can report it to HR. It will always be your fault and you will NEVER be believed. Verizon owns the media. Don't expect anyone to come to save the day. I have never seen so many dishonest people in my life. I have an active s-xual harassment suit. It's real people. It happens. I am not a snowflake. I am a good honest hardworking employee. It was continuous ongoing torture and I begged for help. NO ONE at Verizon would help. I did everything I was supposed to. I followed their rules. Lessons learned. Wake up... They do not care and will lie.... the media does not care.... Do a FOIL request. I am sure I am not the only one.

Who is filing on their union peers? I have seen numerous inappropriate things on the union side. Does the union have deep pockets?
Techs with crude jokes. Call center people sleeping around with each other. Union employees telling supervisors they are s-xy....the door swings both ways. Wait... there is an excuse from the union on that behavior..."it was a one time mistake please do not terminate them for that...look at their great track record... BLAH BLAH BLAH". So maybe EVERYONES perception is different..clearly there needs to be a SET STANDARD.
First off... i'm certain you have experienced harassment, or something you perceive as harassment. I will take no sides as i do not know either you, or the people your are accusing.
i'm certain that the HR personnel you're dealing with report to somebody. and, those people report to somebody in turn etc. etc. all the way up to Hans. if that fails, i'm certain the media will kill each other to report on the big, bad corporation victimizing the little person. In addition, lawyers will snap up a case like this in a heartbeat- verizon has deep pockets.
You have plenty of paths to justice, you just have to pursue them.
I was harassed by a manager in my location who made humping motions behind me and when I approached HR they suggested that it didn't happen and refused to view tapes.
HR in the NW is a nightmare.
Not to mention the amount of inappropriate jokes and conversations that happen within the work place. Most of the leadership team bragging about cheating on their significant others.
Women of Wireless is a breading ground for the men who they allow to come, they also love nights away from their wives.

@1pgv how many times have you been s-xually harassed? While in your conservative attire you speak of. Great point in taking the precautions you need to take because you cannot control other people. Being on guard is kind of your job. If each person owns their personal responsibility and accountability they need to take for their own safety. Example would you walk down a dark alley with no lights by yourself? Or find another route...use common sense people.

The boys club is horrible. I was sure that I'd have to give my manager a blo--ob with the first 30 days, but it was not like that AT ALL. Apparently he was just satisfied by blowing me, so it kind of worked out, and I did not want to report it to HR. You know, ruin a good thing? I look forward to your inestigation!!

OMGEEE not another "me too". This has been run in the ground already. Sad, but so much drama around this so called movement, I ALMOST do not believe any of them. Wise words to people: control your flirting, changing your mind after the fact does not make you a victim, do not put yourself in awkward situations. For example, Cosby invites you to his room at midnight, DO NOT go because you already know that's a booty call. Also, put some close on. You can't really walk around half-naked with everything hanging out and then get mad because someone looks at you. Put some clothes on. If you walk around half naked and you get negative attention then you deserve that negative attention... you are not a victim at that point.
But on a workplace... I've never experienced any issues, 7 years and counting. It really is all in how you carry yourself.. not all the time but most times.. and how you conduct your behavior around others. Be professional and be conservative. If someone says something to you...speak up in the moment instead of holding onto it and storing up incident after incident and THEN taking it to someone. If someone is truly harassing you they won't stop. If someone's just doing stupid and crude joking then they'll stop when they know it bothers you. That is my 2cents. Not victim shaming here but I am calling a spade a spade.
