Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

AVOID DXC LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Yes... the hiring team called me up, fixed an appointment for an interview. 2 days later I cleared the interview. Then the bargain started on the compensation package which has lasted weeks.

The recruitment team calls me up and asks whether I would reconsider joining at a lower pay package ... what a bunch of mo--ns. Several times I mentioned that I already have a decent job and as looking for career growth, but the DXC mo--ns cannot understand that.

I have since declined their offer, and would not be willing to join even if they are now willing to pay.

DXC recruitment people are third grade ba$. tard$

... w ill not join DXC ever.

Go contracting and give yourself a decent pay rise. Thanks yo Mikey - you WFR'd me, you earned a bonus, I got a contract with a 25% pay rise and now DXC are 1 of 4 suppliers for my employer in the US.

It is fair to say that DXC employees are quite p!ssed off with their management, generally disgruntled, pushing out low quality work and wondering why their customers are unhappy with the service provided by DXC.

No point leaving a higher paid job for a lower one. When a company bullies you in this way, it is usually a sign that they don't value your worth or even understand the role they are offering.

DXC have not offered pay rises since 2013. So whatever you negotiate (or don't negotiate now) is what you will live with on a decreasing scale. Given the situation of declining revenues and need to decrease labour and real-estate over the next few years, I think DXC should have offered you a toxic-environment-weighted-allowance.

In 2006 I had the same experience with First Consulting Group - contract for Continuum Health Partner hospitals in NYC. They tried offering me a lower salary than agreed to, so I told then NO - agree or I find something else. They caved and I had a job from HELL for 8 months. Worst job ever. First Consulting was later purchased by CSC which mutated into DXC of course so not surprised. Some things never change

I know of several cases, in the UK, where DXC has illegally made an employee redundant and have settled out of court, for a substantial fee, when the ex-employee has made the legal moves regarding UK employment law. The majority of "unfair dismissal" cases are taken on by lawyers on a no win no fee basis. The cases are closed with a caveat imposed by DXC that the ex-employee will not publicise the outcome of the claim upon receiving an out of court settlement.

If you are willing to put in a bit of work you can gain significantly from the DXC cowboys!

"The situation seems to be far worse in the USA than in Europe where there are strict labor laws"...

I can assure you, in Europe DXC considers them outside the law (labor laws) as they fire people in an illegal way - thinking the employees will not be willing to spend lots of money to go to court.

So they try to find all kinds of way to fire people without having to pay.

No one cares about anyone or anything, leave alone India. The situation seems to be far worse in the USA than in Europe where there are strict labor laws. I'm hearing that Australia takes care of its labor force too.

When there is too much greed at any level within the organization, then there would not be room for thought about the employee. So in short, jobs would continue to be off-shored.

It’s at the point that DXC’s behaviour is well known and recognized in the IT service industry . They can no longer hide it as disgruntled clients and ex clients do not hide their displeasure as well . DXC management did it to themselves . No HONEST employee with a minimum inkling of integrity would conduct themselves in such unprofessionalism . The genie is out of the bottle ... I suspect that a slice and dice is coming and the leftovers will be sold off cheap just because of the low moral so prevently aware within the industry .

it would be good to keep video recordings with the HR and recruitment team secretly taken from a cellphone. Read out the package and the breakup, ask a lot of questions, so that they cannot deny later.

Normally there is no contract when hiring employees in the US. So if you have an offer letter saying one thing and the company does another you rally don’t have much to stand on. The company can always change the rules. It’s not normally done by GOOD companies.

I am still at DXC because I am over 50 and it’s hard finding work where I don’t have to travel or it’s a short term contract.

Stay away from this place. No salary in years , promotions yes with more work and no increase in pay. It’s bull sh--

If HR tried to haggle me into accepting a lower remuneration package then I would be calling a lawyer. Meanwhile Australians would never experience this as their government has outlawed such behaviors. DXC is run by criminals.

I have spoken to a couple of colleagues who recently joined DXC to who the same thing happened. One actually joined and then found out when he got his first pay packet that he was remuneration was less than promised! When he challenged HR they tried to haggle of his pay deal! Luckily he had written proof of the original proposed contractual terms! In the crazy world of DXC where HR is run by a dumb, ex-typist with no experience and who got the job by being "close" to the CEO, nothing surprises me.
