With more HPE work now going to other vendors, and with HPE putting the pressure on DXC in terms of existing support agreements - are HPE now going to kill the relationship early? Rumour is it's a very shaky relationship and it could be cut at any time.

It was a two way street at first; DXC (ES) carried out the ITO service for HPE's IT, while HPE expected DXC to keep supporting HPE hardware sells to its clients.
The problem was DXC had no intention of reselling just HPE hardware, and any HPE client support or technology services DXC tried to bring in cheaper vendors (HPE Partners).
It was always going to end badly.
@Vi3CMYV-2ced Oh dear, you ignorant fool! HPE is a completely separate company to HP!
@Vi3CMYV-2bms thats not actually true, HPE kept their internal infrastructure teams and thats why in L-ES they are struggling so badly with the shared exit.... because the guys doing it don't understand the whole infrastructure at all.
Lets see if this weekend's attempt is any more successful than the last.... I doubt it!
Sounds like DXC are about to lose their most important client and largest revenue stream.
HPE bumped most of their IT team over to HP ES just before the whole lot was spun out to form DXC with CSC.
HP and HPE had, for the most part, under invested in upgrading their own IT systems and infrastructure over the previous 5 years.
So, along comes DXC. It does it's best to fire or force out large amounts of skilled IT staff that were keeping HPEs ageing systems together.
Now, HPE are complaining to DXC that there are too many major incidents across their systems.
They are of course probably more to blame than DXC for the entire mess.
Oh dear, you ignorant fool! HPE is a completely separate company to DXC and part of HP. HPES is an entirely different company to HPE. HPES and CSC merged to create DXC. Get a brain you dingus!
HPE it’s part of DxC there is not two companies anymore they can’t walk away because they’re part of the same company are you people complete a--holes
DXC will be totally scr*wed if HPE walk away! It's got nothing to do with the hardware side of things (that's HP). HPE, the services company, are DXC's biggest client & their biggest single income source.
Waiting for the day when DXC can openly buy IBM and Oracle hardware without any management interference. The HP(e) hardware is just sh1t that nobody would buy in a fit.
Agreed, this could ruin DXC. Clients are deserting the company due to service failures and missed SLAs. HPE is DXC's biggest source of revenue and the quarterly financials would fall off a cliff if they ditched DXC!
Whoever wrote that last post ,oh my but it’s true DXC does it need HPe. We got stuck with the stupid new arrangement to have to purchase gear from HP so it’s good riddance that that relationship will be gone soon
Good DXC does it lead HPE. We got stuff purchasing a bunch of stuff from them when we merged. Good riddance
I want to stay with mommy
HPE are DXC's largest client - DXC needs HPE a lot more than HPE needs DXC! HPE can find other less troubled outsourcing suppliers that provide a far superior service and are not totally dysfunctional. If and when that happens DXC revenues will be screwed!
HPE can't complain. They created DXC and then dumped their own internal IT staff into it. They are equally to blame for the mess.
It had turned sour and broken a long time ago - not helped by HPE attempting to poach back a load of DXC staff with a barrage of job offers after DXC was born.
The divorce was always on the cards, it's now just a matter of not "if" but "when" HPE is cast aside by DXC or vice versa.
