How do they come up with the names of people to layoff? People that work their a-- off everyday with an exceptional skill set get shown the door. All while people that work from home with no skill set to speak of, haven't made it into an office in 10yrs and never respond to phone calls or emails keep their jobs.

And I lost my job, really!!!! SMH!
How is it that you can be dating the boss’s son. Cheat on him with another eomployee by sending nude pictures and videos of yourself during work. (Haha employee shared, aka not impressed) Be late 56 times or more and still have a job??? I think skank is a good word for it.
I was told in soo many words that there will not be any real packages offered like they have in the past. (Ie. 1 week paid per year employed up to 12 weeks). That well has run dry and we are at the bottom of the barrel. I think everyone will be paid out for vacation plus 2 weeks and that is IT.
The more important question is how will severence packages scale as layoffs grow exponentially. And will they be around at all much longer, we might just get a letter. With directions to the unemployment office along with the one stating that our end date was post dated two weeks ago and today is our last day and final check, that and perhaps a little extra security in the building to keep people from attacking their douche bosses on the way Out the door
If you are a manger who uses all the buzzwords like SDWAN, disrupt, verticals, integration, etc and you have a permanent koolaid mustache then you are definitely safe.
If you are a male over 5 ft 8 then you are at risk
So the model employee is a bearded, well dressed, dumb, overweight hipster with green hair and a tongue ring that plays skyrim whilst “working” from home.
If you sleep with your manager to get all your girl pals promotions, you my trashy friend, are not at risk. Carry on sweetheart.
If you dont have a tongue ring and are a data repair team lead then you are at risk.
If you don’t have facial hair, you are at risk
If you don’t wear jeans and formal dress shoes, you are at risk
If you don’t dye your hair, you are at risk
If you show up for work before 9:30, you are at risk
If you don’t work from home, you are at risk
If you don’t own a Tesla then you are at risk
If you don’t like rockets, then you are at risk
If you don’t have a twitter account then you are at risk
It you are smart then you are at risk
If you are attractive then you are at risk
If you are physically fit then you are at risk.
Gotta keep a stock of future managers available, ya know.
That will be the ones they keep and promote.
Anyone who "Replied All" today has been added to the list of people to eliminate. We need a thinning of the corporate gene pool.
Generally it comes down to salary and business needs. If the board come to the executives and says we need to eliminate 10% of the work force they will look at each team and drop a few people company wide. Products get outsourced or eliminated most of our repair tickets go off shore only to come back on shore. We are saving money on paper but the work load is still there, staff employees lose in the end game.
A skank huh? Classy. Why do x employees come back to this site? ... I think i would rather be an employed skank than a meatknuckle who can’t get over it. Get a thesaurus and find a word that doesn’t make you sound like a douche. To those that can’t stay away after you’re already gone... get a life- you aren’t impressing anyone.
I work from home a couple days a week and actually get more done on those days. It’s not for everyone, but there is much less noise, distractions and no stress of the traffic/commute. It is much easier to focus and definitely more productive for me.
I have no issue with people who work from home, I wouldn’t want to. The fact that I got laid off and some skank who has been tardy 56 times this year, and she still has a job? That’s what ticks me off
Looking at these replies I see most of the employees at WS are still scumbags, same as when I worked there. No wonder the company is going under, they pay morons to sit in their pajamas all day.
Don’t forget We get paid more in our pajamas too and aren’t chained/enslaved to be on our phones all day with one bathroom break like you all are. Why you don’t quit and just wait to be laid off like fools blows me away
There are terrible workers in the office and at home. Who knows why they make it and hard workers don’t. My guess would be salary is the deciding force to be honest.
P.S. You sound like a guy I know from the Greenville office that does nothing but complain about at home workers all day long
