I am a Senior Clinical Assessment Developer in San Antonio and I am not aware of any layoffs. But, wanted to share my two cents on a different topic: comp. The comp is off, across the board – if you are adding value, you will likely not be compensated correctly – you have to ask for more money, and they will fight back – it’s really not good for the worker, the company does not care. Many new folks are hired at higher levels if compared to the existing employees – this is unfair and messes up many things.
Finally, Pearson should beef up the management capabilities – most of our managers are week and clueless, it’s very hard to follow them and seek direction if you do not trust them. I am not even sure this can ever be fixed as they tend to promote even weaker candidates.
