Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

What became of Sproutling, Nabi, Fuhu?

A few years ago Mattel made a big deal about acquiring several up and coming tech companies, but since then it's unclear whatever became of them.

Anyone got the inside scoop on current status or what?

I'm just curious what role they are playing in Mattel's turn around efforts.

In hindsight perhaps paying $21.5 million for Fuhu was not such a great idea, not to mention however many 10's pf millions of dollars we spent on Sproutling. Mattel had a poor track record when it comes to acquisitions.

Get your facts straight - it wasn’t a year ago - they were acquired in 2015. And for 3 years they’re only the dregs that they’ve always been. Nice going, Sid

Fuhu=FUBAR, Nabi is shabby, Sproutling in doubtling, Quirky's a turkey. Mattel is the Kiss of Death, where technology goes to die. Look what these morons did with Kamigami. And abortions like Thingmaker, Aristotle, and Hologram Barbie. Hello Barbie, goodbye profits. We aren't tech sector. More like tech sukktor.

And yet the Sproutling San Fran office is still open, while offices that have made product that made money are being closed down.

Fuhu/Nabi been completely eliminated. It no longer exists. Everyone was let go after Mattel bought this bankrupt company and then got rid of its morally bankrupt leaders. Mattel is now trying to figure out what to do with all their pricey office furniture. Sproutling died a terrible crib death.
