Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

More UK WFR

People on here always dismiss posters with "but its not true", so here is a 100% true story:

https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/05/23/dxc/

UK management hate The Register (for telling the truth), so feel free to add some comments to that story!

PS the official story was that Q1 FY19 was only going to be "about 10 job losses in the UK"... well it seems its ten times that.

I've gone client side to an old HPES/DXC client and we are shifting to AWS and Azure - we are doing the dev and support in house rather than outsourcing, its working well so far.

The other part of the Register article highlighted DXC having offloaded their Networks staff to AT&T. Those lucky people have left the DXC ship and hopefully they don't return like what occurred as part of the previous EDS to WorldCom offloading debacle 10+ years ago.

The focus is on Growth? So you cut the workforce because of all this growth? Wow! If you grow any more, there won't be anyone left!

Grow up guys and girls - azure and aws are NOT going to do 7 x 24 of customer app support / development etc - so enterprise businesses still need a services company to run it for them .

In the early 2000’s the EDS Stockprice was at $79, what happened to them? I think we all know the answer eh.

@lrz keep taking in the b---s--- matey! Maybe when ‘they’ come looking for you, your arse will twitch and you may just re-think your view! It’s the same b---s--- that turned HP into a train wreck since 2000.

@TjwUM6F-ngu Well your wrong about that, cutting is leading to prosperity.. Look at the stock price, thats all the investors care about.

They don't care that we'll lose customer's while we switch from infrastructure to a pure services only company.

Once we're pure services for Azure and AWS, people wont come to us , I wouldn't I would go directly to the companies who are supplying the service because they will be the best .

Once again a case of DXC not understanding that you cannot cut your way to prosperity...
