Some UK people would have had a nice Thursday surprise in their inbox this morning. Volunteers for the latest redundo round are being sought. Nothing on numbers, relatively small apparently...

Does anyone know of a voluntary redundancy process for Canadians? I've seen comments about one being made, but I don't even know where to start looking
Btw, sort your grammar out. Tool!
Not sure what revenue UK brings to the table ! - you wonder eh !. Just having an accent is NOT a qualification in IT. So it is only fair that your region does NOT have much customers / revenue and the company cannot afford that much people in the region. There are regions which are doing good, because there are customers and hard working dxc folks.
... btw - tired of your Royal story ! - change the channel !!
In other words Consultation = one way communications downwards. Seen that before especially every time ML and his cronies send BS emails to all the "happy to be at DXC" employees beneath his management layer.
UK Works Council has almost no influence over the big decisions. They can, and do, question management on their plans and they do get some issues resolved.
However, in terms of WFRs, an employee rep once said to me that 'it's consultation, not negotiation'. In sharing plans with the UKWC management are deemed to have 'consulted' the workforce.
The DXC Works Council is merely an oxymoron.
Not a link per se. You apply to your line manager via email and copy in a couple of other addresses, one of which is an @hpe.com address (that tells you everything you need to know).
If you didn't get the mail, you'll be told to go away, but hey, maybe they won't notice...
is there a link to apply for VR ?
DXC works council is great......

.....for nothing
@TdFApdl-1rzt It's amusing how wrong you are
The last reply is spin by DXC HR! We do not use the term Works Council in the UK! Nor would anyone in the UK have a clue where or how to find Th "Works Council Website" if it even existed. By using inaccuracte terminology and claimining to be "us" in the UK you have exposed your attempt to deceive genuine readers of this site.
The company told the Works Council that in the UK this quarter it would be 10 redundancies, and they'd be back for more in the next 2 quarters. It's available for us all to read on the works council website.
All the old school managers are long gone. You know, the ones who actually gave a flying fook about their staff and customers. The new cohort of managers with their pointy brown shoes and sharp haircuts would shaft you as soon as your back is turned.
Sorry for all affected by the latest cuts, but come on in, the water is lovely out here, you will not regret it!
I know of at least 2 managers who got their office locations changed to dodge WFR in the UK - but wouldn't allow team members to do the same.
And more targeted in September......
a VR call atm
- intentions are clear - Get rid of those pesky few who aren't physically located at the chosen delivery centres - Therafter, get rid of the chosen delivery centres by pretending they are "moving" next year.
