Digital transformation on track

DXC is a pure play giant doing well in the services business. With the Digital transformation on track, DXC will be one of the global frontline players, with its focus of providing high value from lower cost locations such as India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Hang on ... Mikey focuses exclusively on a single product or service, being his retirement pay check. Now that's a pure play(er).

I left DXC this year. I hung on til I could take early retirement. As l"egacy CSC", I can say confidently that the creation of DXC made life as an employee ten times more difficult (and the last 2 years of CSC were very difficult indeed).

That being said, and corporate scamology aside, I would like to read some positive stories from DXC employees because I hope that my experience was just as an old man with thirty five years experience who was just too ancient and decrepit to comprehend the new reality of everyday working life at a leading edge pure play customer focussed company like Don't eXpect Compassion.

Sorry @Modi - you need to wake up and smell the coffee (read between the lines / stop being an ostrich).

Current or ex DXC employees alike should be concerned about what management are doing to the company, and certainly be prepared to voice their opinion on this site and elsewhere, whatever their viewpoint. Lawrie and his chosen puppet masters are pulling all the strings here - the 150K employees are simply marionettes...

The recent fall in stock price rather confirms investors have started to work out what's going on, even if you're happy to accept the status quo.

lades and gentlemen - if you have quit leave dxc alone (don't thrash it) - if you are still here and would not like to contribute it, get the hell out of here.

Please for god sakes, there are 150K people work in this place and need a job.

My post written as dvp should have referenced dqc not bhc. Apologies!

How the heck is DXC a pure play company, Pure Play -> a company that focuses exclusively on a particular product or service in order to obtain a large market share.

DXC doesn't focuses exclusively on a single product or service.

@bhc I totally agree, they must be worried if they are rolling out dxc defenders to counteract the constant negative reviews and thoughts expressed on this site.

It’s a morally bankrupt company led by a deluded senior management team, with no idea and no plan!

It's fairly obvious that whoever posted this entry works for DXC, either in senior management, marketing or HR.

They are trying to balance the generally negative view across most of the "DXC technology layoff" posts, which portray the company as a thoroughly unpleasant organisation to work for; one which mistreats and declines to fairly reward its employees, whilst increasingly failing their customers at the same time. Just look at how many accounts / bids have been lost in recent months (those you actually hear about). The first reply post is right; customers are increasingly cutting out the DXC middleman.

If they really believe the sentiment in their post, then they have totally failed to grasp the reality of the situation lower down within the company, nor the level of frustration and genuine anger held by so many employees towards the upper management.

No amount of fatuous business buzzwords or vacuous weasel words can alter that reality, especially when summarized in a series of trite unsubstantiated statements. My view is that most of L3 - L5 management are running scared of Mike Lawrie and his cohorts, and are simply not prepared to stand up and be counted. Shame on you!

I left DXC some six months ago on my own terms, having decided I could no longer accept the oppressive, unrewarding work environment any longer, and as many others have said, there are decent alternative companies out there, who do appreciate your skillset, commitment and work ethic, and are prepared to reward you accordingly.

I take no pleasure in reading the various negative posts made on this site, and empathise with those still working for DXC; who must be worried sick about their job security let alone any career and salary prospects.

So come on Post ID @TXu6qFe! Kindly reveal your role and location within the company, and may I suggest you query what's really happening on the ground, irrespective of which country you may choose to look at. It's time for some honesty...

"All that's left at DXC is bottom of the barrel talent that can't find another job."

A bit harsh, and not quite true - there are some for whom being employed by DXC still works for a number of reasons unrelated to talent.

Not sure of the OP's source for the original 'pure play giant doing well' comment...

I expect customers will go direct to Amazon or Microsoft, cutting out the middleman.
