Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Will influx of funds from the sale stem layoffs?

I'm just wondering if we'll see fewer layoffs now that Molina decided to sell MMS to DXC.

I'm kind of hoping that's true, because $220 million is a nice sum.

However, knowing Molina, I wouldn't be willing to put my money on it.

What does everybody here think? Are we going to catch a break or no?

Will Pathways be the next division that they sell? Anyone hearing anything on this?

What do you mean, "knowing Molina"? This isn't a Molina specific characteristic. It's just simply increasing profit margin the easiest way possible....selling as much of the business as possible AND reducing labor expense. No company would increase (or refrain from decreasing) workforce when they trying to tighten the belt and lean up for a sale? I think you've missed a lot that is going on around you. You may need to wake up and realize Molina isn't unlike other companies....it's just over is all.

this means EVEN MORE LAYOFFS. Anyone who believes that this company will exist in current or recognizable form in 24 months needs to stop drinking the Kool AIds! lol.. (b--ches)

I don't imagine Molina is looking to maintain their work force since they are clearly going to sell the company, bit by bit. The impact of the layoffs thus far, on current processes, has been profound. But it's likely that isn't a concern. Continuing with dismantling the company doesn't require keeping staff...more like the opposite.
