Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

How pathetic is Seagate Management

How pathetic is it that Seagate actually puts in the effort to post on this site in it's own favor posing as happy employees.

What are they freaked out about? Must be a lot of truth on this site for them to actively promote it's own propaganda.

9tmo, you sound so wise. So wise.

For sure I am going to plan my entire career around your incredible insight, and incredible use of the word 'thrice', which incidently, pretty much hasn't been used by any one in the free world since 1938.

That would make you someone NOT from the free world. Hmmm.... I betting you live in a dorm just outside Minsk, where earn minimum wage at a Russian troll farm. LOL.

come to think of it, those people posting positive reviews might not be HR/management but could be talent acquisition within seagate, never believe whatever they say about the department you are going to work is stable, even non-manufacturing department gets the cut

Think thrice or 4 times before considering joining

Good Luck

All the layoff rumors are from WD trolls. Things at Seagate are fine.

3gpt, I don't think you understand. Anyone that comes to this site claiming to like his or her job is automatically called a baII licking, management loving, HR troll, and nothing you say can appease the sad mass of humanity that seems to think only they are the real Seagate employees.

I too enjoy my job at Seagate, and simply come here for actual layoff news. In my 12 years at Seagate, working with folks from wafer, media, mdw, FA,.... I have never met anyone with the nasty, deplorable disposition from the likes of some of the posters on this board such as dku and 1rco in this thread, and countless others in the other threads.

Makes me think THEY are the trolls.

LOL. It would not surprise me if they were not actually employed at Seagate.

I like working at Seagate (nrm). My job is interesting, the locals are great, I get paid pretty well, benefits are ok, and I like my boss. It can be a lot, lot, worse. I know that from experience. Not a manager, or in HR. So there,...

"I come to the site for layoff rumors but dont see anything that resembles cheery employees posting kind words."

After repeated waves of layoffs and benefit reductions over the past several years, what do people expect? Employees who are anything besides disgruntled and checked out? It doesn't take a Russian troll to figure that one out, or the logical endpoint. And the complainers really should STFU and go get a job at a real company.

:@S9G7rmd, sounds like you are the one feeling sad. What happened? Low increment? No promotion?

Huh? Where are the "happy employee postings" you mention? I've pretty much only seen negative posts here. I come to the site for layoff rumors but dont see anything that resembles cheery employees posting kind words. Considering Seagate management doesn't actually care about their employees, I highly doubt they're posting on this site. They're too busy planning for the next RIF.

Seagate does post here. Sad, but a sign of the times. It's all about controlling the narrative. It's pretty smart if you think about it.

Seagates reputation is catching up with it though. Word is getting out how employees are treated.

I would advise to post your company reviews on glassdoor, where it can't be disparaged by any company agents. If your claim is true, it really is an unethical practice. It will have much more impact on that site I mentioned.
