Why is this even a thing? Those of us us who are actually doing "real work" do not have time for the inane babblings of this pseudo-"in-house-social-network". Why have DXC paid Facebook a probable insane amount of money to implement this? My day-to-day working involves email and Skype, thus enabling me to keep on top of the huge workload I have. Obviously it was sold to DXC on the pretense and assurance of gathering "useful" data regarding (i.e. to spy on) it's employees. It does not make my job easier or more efficient. It simply fills my email inbox with drivel. We are hounded daily to sign up to this piece of sh@t. I need information relevant to my job and the project I am working on, not useless "public awareness" cr@p. Whoever signed off on this to be a thing is a complete imbecile with no clue how projects are actually carried out. This abhorrent idea was obviously given the "thumbs up" from some dip-sh@t manager at a reasonably high level. Who's the biggest dip-sh@t in DXC... well obviously that would be M.L. Nuff said!

I don't even want to logon to unsubscribe. Just right click the email in Outlook, select Rules..>Always Move Message From: blah blah and select Deleted Items folder. Voila, problem solved. You don't have login and up their 'user' count and you will not be bothered with the emails cluttering inbox. I don't even have personal Facebook. No way am I going to have a work one.
Another pointless initiative from our inept, unqualified, inexperienced global head of PR? Her "close relationship" with the little fat man in charge is the only reason this ex-PA is in a job!

@RquBF48-2yud Is spot on - play the game by their rules. Attend all the meetings (doesn’t mean you have to pay attention), join Workplace and post corporate gobbledygook a couple times a month, and If you’re in a tech role make sure you have “working towards so-and-so certification” as a goal in Workday. Keep your customer happy in the meanwhile, but don’t work above and beyond if you don’t want since there’s no corporate incentive or loyalty to do so.
I think one explanation is they replaced HPE Yammer with facebook, presumably for less...
I'd rather actually do some meaningful work even if DXC don't appreciate the work I do I know the customer does and that at least gives me some sense of job satisfaction. I'm biding my time at this place because it is convenient for me right now. Don't care if I'm made redundant as I will get another job pretty quickly. For now I will do my best work for my own personal reasons and to hell with playing any corporate bullsh@t games to pass the time. BTW I will not work more hours than which I am payed for. I will not lose sleep over the incompetency of project leadership. I'll just take my money for the work I do thank you very much.

If you want an easy life and career security, play the game... surf the net, join the chat groups, go to useless meetings etc. All on company time. And do not be at the office any longer than 35 hours per week.
On the other hand, if you bury your head in your “work”, stay 50+ hours per week, and are naive enough to think you make a difference, you WILL be laid off. So really the decision is yours

It's for the fannies who have no real work to do. Total f@cking joke. I signed up to stop the incessant emails then unsubscribed from the groups I had been placed in by "the administrator" (ffs!). So, now there is silence from this nonsense in my email inbox. No need to ever have to deal with it again :)

What are they going to grain with this bull sh-- rah rah crap, as they continue to WFR seasoned engineers and replace them by know nothing LSU grad's or off shore it all.
I don't even read the vast majority of emails from corporate as it is! I did learn that if you scroll to the bottom of the emails you can unsubscribe. I did this as quickly as I could because unlike some people in the company I actually have to work and fulfill contractual obligations every day.

I logged in just to turn off those bloody notification emails. Who needs 15 emails a day extra to delete every si gle day!? No time for that.
It's not even permanent, they've already announced they'll replace it with Yammer, so why bother.
This has the earmarks of another HR "initiative". Similar to merging four payroll systems simultaneously, with no testing prior to deployment.
I delete these immediately. What a waste of everyone's time. I even wonder why anyone is posting on it. Those that do must be completely deluded.
