Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Anybody feels safe?

I was just wondering, is there anybody left at DXC who actually feels like their job is secure?

From all I'm reading and hearing, everybody, literally everybody is stressing on daily bases about whether they'll have a job tomorrow, from CSRs to administrative assistants to technical consultants.

Is there anybody who still believes they are safe here, apart from the top tier managers?

S---ers will be left doing all the work the former competent staff was doing. For finance they will have to start window dressing and rounding numbers higher. It must be really interesting to see how the remaining employees do there work. They must be taking a lot of shortcuts or consolidating or just explaining in general terms. This would be a prime time for an outside audit to take place. Even for the government business with all the bs they have to do for reporting. Just do an audit now. This company must be run like a Chinese sweat shop or a 1920's textile firm. Time will tell. $100.00 stock price does not justify the internals of the company.

@RkY11Kl-ttv "There are safe havens within DXC, but you need to be in a role they CANNOT offshore."

Actually, no, this is not even true. I work on a contract that cannot be sent offshore however, we are currently working at about 1/2 the staff required in my department alone. Nobody is safe. Everybody has stopped caring (except the few idiots with their heads in the sand).

Yes, I do, quit last week. Hoped that I would be made redundant and get a severance package on the way out. Didn't get any though, not sure if I was close.

The damaging for DXC is that by treating your staff so badly and spreading this sense of impending doom productivity and output has definitely suffered big time. People used to be prepared to do a lot more, work longer and go that little bit further as they felt part of it. Now everyone knows that the little fat man and his wretched unqualified girlfriend are just in it for themsevlves!

Even at my location [3rd world/eastern europe], there is the spirit of cost savings in the air, reductions, limited new hires, etc.

Simple answer, NO !

Mikey's objective is to hollow out the company releasing all that shareholder value then sell on the dried husk that's left to some Indian outfit, walking off into the sunset with his barrow full of $$$'s
