Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Reviews process timeline

The reviews are taking place now even though the fiscal has 6 weeks to run. Managers are reviewing self-evluation forms for "phase 1" employees that needed to be submitted before the 16 Feb deadline. All managers ratings will need to be approved by L2/L3s. According to the official HR schedule the final meetings with staff may not take place until March/April but by this time the appaisal ratings are locked in. Underperforming staff will be exited as soon as possible (early April).

Bumped from @RPNdLce-jcp for info.

Maybe the reason why the manager has not heard is cos they have been tapped on the shoulder to leave. In other words their care factor is a big fat zero.

The CSC review process used to be one where you could measure yourself by how much better/worse your peers were doing compared to you. like who got first bites at juicy roles, TOIL and "training" opportunites (when really you were benching)

If you kept getting stuck with the more cr*ppy roles, you knew your peers were schmoozing managers better than you.

The way to survive in DXC is avoid tricky roles, or if you have to accept them, dive out of them at the right time and get the cr*p reassigned to someone else to deliver (after you've burned through all the WBS).

No-one remembers the person who ate up the WBS cover and ditched before delivery, but they allways remember the poor b*stard who had to make it work yesterday.

Guess who gets the better appraisal?

Staff know that receiving a '4' is no longer about being put on 'performance improvement plans' Remember those? They were plans designed to track an employee's improvement back to the statistical 3.

Of course, this can never be achieved unless you outshine someone already at a '3' and push them down to the statistical 4. After all someone has to be at a 4. No, really they HAVE to be!

"Get a four and you're out the door"

@RR2lgkA-zsn - your manager is an idiot. This has been going on from when HP was around, and then HPE and now DXC. Where did your manager came from? The moon?

This is not scaremongering, this is the process. Mike Lawrie as run the operation this way for the past 6 years (formerly as CSC and now as DXC). From your post it is obvious you are an ex-HPES employee. HR have explained the process. Why do you think year end reviews are taking place before year end?

“Underperforming staff will be exited as soon as possible (early April)“ Stop scare mongering. You don’t know what happens in all departments.

"...meetings with staff..."?! Ah, I remember those heady days when you met with your manager to discuss feedback before ratings were decided. That was all some time ago. I have never even met my current manager...
