Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

What Coaches & which COM?

Coaches seem to be keeping their moths shut for a change. Anyone know which Coaches or how many got canned?

Also, with HCMSS, they have 2 COMs. Don’t think there is really a need for both of them now. Which one is gone?

And no, I’m not being mean. I am an HCMSS with 8 years experience, high productivity, and always great performance reviews, no PIP. I was on the call today.

So, what is left for the remaining HCMSS? Is it true that they are going back to nursing teams?

The difference is metrics are based on a 40 work week. Not a work week where we have an hour long Toan Hall meeting. If we have a 30 minute Team meeting those weeks, the thats 90 minutes less to work. That really eats into member fancying time, and they don’t adjust metrics. MF said once that dedicated employees put in the extra time to get the job done. A jerk statement for sure, but not possible when we go to hourly. That’s the difference

If someone can’t do their job in 40 hours or less, they need to figure out how to work smarter and more efficiently. I don’t see how hourly will be any different than salary. Stop whining or get a new job!

Or, they will see the reality of what can be done and change the expectations?

It will be no problem meeting the current HCMSS metric in 8 hours so long as my 8 hours starts no earlier than 9:00 AM, consist of nothing but phone calls with two 15 minutes breaks and a 30 minute lunch (or not and herin lies the only flexibility that will remain), there are no meetings during my 8-hour day, no expectations to read and respond to emails, no more wellness (buzz, go365, etc) expectations, success story expectations, and no “participation” expectations to take on the many extra assignments we volunteer for to keep our job! Anything beyond making calls will all have to be done without pay. In return there will be absolutely no give/flexibility from leadership. Clearly a one-way street. Nice Humana!

@1aqr. I’m a coach. I was on the call. That’s my job, my role, my responsibility to my team to hear what they hear. I wasn’t laid off. Please stop your assumptions. You are incorrect

My coach was on the call today and was not impacted. The coaches that were impacted logged out early yesterday but returned today to support their team .

Fyi.. anyone on the call today was laid off.. if you think your coach was on the call for support. you are incorrect. . They may have decided not to share that information with you.. unless Humans changed their process. .. layoffs 1 thru 4 coaches that were on the call were laid off.

Coaches were on the call for support, they would not be told that way. 3 hcmss coaches were let go, the coms are still in place, one does the behavioral health, the other hccp. We will be reteamed to 6 after the next month when the 45 hcmss get early release. If we go to roster, it makes more sense and would be great. Hourly is to keep people accountable and to start PIP process for those that are not able to handle/manage the expected work load in 40 hrs a week

Yeah. There are little people with fangs hanging out in the corner with green slime drool and long yellow fingernails sitting in the background trying to figure out ways to destroy anybody and everything that gets in their path. Come on people. Let's at least try to be realistic here. Your imaginations are completely out of control.

@RDYkPhD-bar- I have heard this, too. It seems to make sense.

I have also heard the reason they are going hourly is because if you don’t make your productivity, then they will have grounds to terminate you for not meeting metrics. And termination = no severance.

This is Humana’s way of weeding out the rest and seeing who is really so good.

How’s that working for you now??? Come back & let us know once you go hourly.

I still say say- get out while you can!!!

I too would like to know what ss coaches were let go. Do you really think they will put the Ss’s back on nursing teams. Really there probably won’t be more than six teams.

@RDYkPhD-gzm- I 100% agree with you. ... If you were not in this round of lay-offs, I would highly suggest you start looking. Just my two cents.

Yes I also heard they were going to put the ss’s back on nursing teams. I also think people will be surprised about the hourly wage thing as they

Think they will now get Paid for time spent trying to get six calls a day but will find they will not get authorization for it. I heard the hourly wage thing is a way to get more people to leave and that the layoff in April will not be with severance. I suggest everyone

Get serious about getting finding a new job
