What a load of rubbish - our troubles are just starting. When our first lien creditors cash out who will own us? 6-12months of further instability - good luck with our inbred marketing messages - no one believes them. Our customers, staff, and partners are leaving - wake up and see the truth. Exiting Bankruptcy isn't the end its the beginning - our inability to address the real issues is still there. 3billion of debt on a 2.7billion revenue - what do you think it means apart from lay-offs. That's the real issue with this company too many people believe their own marketing - we need to start afresh but I have no confidence that will happen.

Some of these messages from the competition just prove to me that you all are very worried. Now your biggest sales tool (bankruptcy) will be gone, so good luck with your sales tactics going forward! I do not envy you :)

It would be wonderful! cannot wait:) Is it December 15 or January? If you do not know the dates and just like to show off with some more rumbling make sure to say so, for example, start your post like this: "I do not really know much about layoffs, I just like to rumble about dead horses":);)

Avaya's a dead horse, they will never recover from this. Any organization in their right mind would never back their products and their support model is horrible! Now heads will fly in January, layoffs are alway the next step after chapter 11 to make the #'s work. All that comes to mind.... TITANIC!

My God #dillusional

I have spoken to many Avaya customers and they want to de-risk their business and move to people who will be around, like Cisco and MS. All this BS about Avaya strong no one believes. I have already taken two Avaya contact centres away from them with minimal effort. So the chapter closes - so what? I suggest the customers choose a different author!

There are certain dinosaurs within the company and there is a lot of ego and politics overtaking the willingness to do business. Some of them are in the company 19-20 years but know nothing about Avaya's business and are big overheads to the company.

Coming out of chapter 11 means nothing for Avaya, they are a dinosaur! There are so many better options out there for businesses, why anyone would stay with them at this point baffles me. #Here come the layoffs Avayan's, get your resumes ready!

Well with the first Lein creditors wanting to cash out the big question will be “who are the owners going to be” - the Road is not clear yet, in fact it’s just as bumpy as it has always been9 and don’t forget the company will still have debt in the region if 3billion on a forecast revenue of 2.73billion. How is this progress? The real issues are not being addressed.

Does this mean layoffs? Any idea how soon? Any rumors on the dates?

It's a positive moment and there's a lot of hard work ahead. The reality has to be faced, the competitors took a piece of market share pie, and remembering that Avaya's forecast statements in court were that revenue and administrative expenses (including salaries) will be reduced by about 25% over the next two years. Everyone knows what this means for employees.

We can predict the future only by past performance and the strategy Avaya adopted. Going by that no matter be it any product, it announces all the flavory bells and whistles first and by the time it needs to market or sell them it goofs up miserably. There are umpteen examples to cite. I being an experienced technical person is so confused on the current offerings in UC and cc and neither of the product lines are fully cloud ready. One can imagine the plight of the customer. Hopefully Avaya emerges successful realizing and overcoming the pitfalls this time with a proper vision to succeed.

Why be negative. There is plenty to sell and many of us have proved this with a very successful 2017 - it will be even better once CH 11 is history. We have a bright future ahead of us

N now we have nothing to sell.. Nortel took away cash n time both. Product are not cloud ready, making business in enterprise needs innovation.. no offering on bots, AI, automation..

Soon we enter into ch 11..
