Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

UK Union Email (Unite)

This is from an official source, quarterly newsletter from our union.

Most of the UK cuts will come from HPE ES side.

Take your breaks (health and safety) this goes back to a few posts in the Chorley thread. Basically if you work your arse off it won’t benefit you.

And Lawrie will review all adhoc pay reviews, yes that’s the CEO who will review all pay review requests. That bastard must be sat there twiddling thumbs if he has time for reviewing simple requests for wanting to get paid at the market rate.

@QFrOcnp-8grc have to agree with you mate.

I guess that was why CSC agreed to let CSC employees have a union. That one is particularly not bothered with all of those private sector big earners in IT.

There are at least two other unions though, but I don't think you can join them from the general work force. The RMG account people are still UCW and the MOD pensions lot are something else.

Both of those I believe have successfully taken on CSC and won benefits for their members, unlike Unite who can't do anything at all it seems, despite having more members than the other two combined.

Give yourself a £120 a year pay rise and ditch Unite. They don't give a f**k about you any more than DXC do.

All they do is take your subs and spend them on arranging marches against public sector pay freezes whilst doing nothing for us

While at it .. not only a union needs to be formed for the welfare of employees but the minimum salary scale should be increased to approx 100 GBP ($133) per hour.

I hate to say it but just being in a union makes you a target. Years ago, Ross Perot said that unions are for companies who don't treat their employees well (or something to that effect). Obviously, DXC s---s at treating employees well, but with a ton of lawyers at their command they will outsmart any union lawyer who tries to help you all.
