Might not be a bad idea to start cleaning out your desk now and just leave the bare essentials at work. Everyone in Pontiac will eventually have to vacate the building anyways....might as well start early. You will probably have to bring your own box though....There is most likely none left after all of the layoffs that keep coming down the pipe. At this rate, everyone might not have a job by when our lease on the building ends in December.

@Puxwsq4-ien Happy for you. I am 4 months away myself from retiring at 60. That is why I'm still here. If I get WFRed, I'll make it ok, but would really like the last 4 months of salary to finalize my plans. I'll be 60 and gone. And yes, my skills are current and in demand. I live in an area with lots of tech companies. I just don't want to look around if I don't have to, with only a few months left.
It was announced today that they are moving to a new building in Auburn Hills.
DXC is supposed to be close to acquiring a lease on a building within 5 miles of Pontiac. It is unknown if all workers will be told to report to the new building, or if some people will be told to WFH if it's not essential they working on site.
If it is true, no loss. Pontiac is full of fakers with no skills. Good riddance.
Scary stuff for anyone over 50 years old. It's a mean cruel world out there. Difficult to get a decent job age that age. Glad I was able to ride it out until 59 years old. Now all I do is chill, walk in the neighborhood, read about other peoples problems, invest, get involved with politics, go to church and guide my kids and parents through the complexity of the markets. It's still hard to get the great folks out of my mind I use to work with. I miss the network. Good Luck going into the war zone of society.
Legacy EDS - mostly gone
My team at the Pontiac as been asked to work from home staring Oct 1, till further notice. it would be a good time to clear any items and stuff, from the office drawers/desk
