Okay, I have been reading some of these posts, and I'm thinking that the other side needs some representation. So I did some digging to see what Seagate is actually one of the best companies out there.
Consider these facts, which can be found at the Seagate website:
-
Seagate has everything you need to take your talent to new heights.
-
More than 50,000 Seagate employees in 22+ locations are building exciting and rewarding careers at one of the world’s most admired companies.
-
They state: "People are our competitive advantage. Successful individuals are the driving force behind a successful enterprise. Attracting, retaining, and motivating the best people will position Seagate at the forefront of the industry."
-
The also state: "We believe it is important to honor our employees and their innovative spirit, outstanding performance and significant contributions. Seagate has established Recognition and Reward programs and other internal awards to reward and recognize their achievements, as well as promote and strengthen our commitment to our key values."
That is pretty darn good, if you ask me!
So I don't see how people can be complaining, given these four examples (I am sure that there are more)...
We did a Baldridge survey about four or five months ago; management made a strong effort to ensure everyone would take the survey so that they could get right to work on rectifying any issues, concerns, or, even possibly, complaints. They are still diligently striving to create the Best Action Plan in response. It will be really great, I'm sure, considering how much time and effort they must be putting in to it.
Seagate has amazing employees. And they have the best executive management team, and they are an Employer of Choice. Let the "Focus on People" Rollout begin!!
