Apart from standard terms which come from government, what incentive does HPE offer you to take VR.
In CSC it's £2800 on top of your existing terms.

Also given the number of people they have exited under the current package to over the past few years, any attempts to revert to statutory minimum would likely fall foul of UK employment law around "custom and practice", hence the reason the packages have stayed the same for all types of employee as per original contract (ex EDS, ex Compaq, ex HP etc). It'sbecome an implied term of your employment contract
In the UK the cap is 12 months, but they also add 3 months PILON on top.
For ex EDS/HP people it's capped at 12 months salary (which tends to max out at about 20 years service). Despite rumours that they will revert to the statutory minimum terms (ie barely anything at all) they are still doing the same package so far post DXC merger
The only incentive you get in the UK is the knowledge that you are definitely going and can therefore plan. If you leave it to them you will get buggered about right down to the wire
@rcm As mentioned it depends on when (and which company) you originally joined. The only people who have redundancy payments detailed in their terms and conditions are ex-DEC people. For everyone else there are discretionary redundancy payments based on years of service; these vary depending on when (and whom) you joined. It is not a flat rate of payment like it seems to be in legacy CSC.
£2800 plus your terms is just peanuts .. fit for monkeys . One has to fight for more...
So it's basically what's in your terms?? You don't get discretionary payments like CSC? As mentioned everybody here gets £2800 plus your terms.
You get a free unicorn and tickets to the next Superbowl or sweet FA.
Can't remember which
It depends on when (and which company) you originally joined. If you are fortunate enough to have joined DEC, then survived the Compaq, HP, HPE and now DXC mergers, redundancy terms are contractual and very generous; a month's salary for each year of service, plus an additional three months salary, plus a three month notice period.
For the rest of us it it varies; a 26-year veteran I know left recently with a (capped) 12 month's salary payout.
