This whole thing is dirty. People are fighting dirty for jobs with the new company. Conoco is not telling its people who are supposedly safe when and where they are to relocate or if they even have jobs still. Some departments are being foretold that they will all still have jobs before the supposed interview process. People that have been offered jobs with Conoco are now turning them down and applying with Hilcorp which is cutting into the available positions.

@MZessj3 If you believe in this day and time that there are safe jobs, I have some real fairy dust to sell you!
Ya there's no one to trust and no one you can believe. Preach accountability yet this happens. Sad for sure but when shareholder value is more important than employee value, it's time to go.
If in doubt and in a position in life to take the leap away from working with a producer, do it!! I did over 20 years ago and have had no regrets. Producers were better with their people back then, however it was still dog-eat-dog. Life is not always about the money as you have heard many times before. Stand tall and do what you want to do. Don't stay in a miserable situation. You will regret it and so will your health. If you stay, then change your attitude and make it the best you can.
So what will it be for you? The old company full of lying dirtbags or the new company full of lying dirtbags? Decisions decisions.
