Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

SLB Stonehouse England

It seems what is talked about around the Stroud area in the shops and pubs things are really not right at building B I don't work their thank god never would but some of the stories are quite bad managers looking after eastern European female workers above British ones a system of management playing god over peoples life's with these stories you can understand why this company has massive problems I think rather than get rid of workers they should look at their management people.

If you are so frustrated, why are you still there ? I'm in B and it's not that bad.

A few cowards, sometimes racist, are spreading rumours anonymously on the internet, how beautiful !

It appears that building B has very many negative reports, and if memory serves me well it's not the only building in Stonehouse, But it seems to be the one under constant attack, The question surly needs to be asked ,What the hell is happening within this building?. Seems there is total breakdown in between management and it staff,So why oh why is this problem ,If there is there is a problem not being addressed immediately?.

For those people left with marketable skills and good technical abilities you should leave SHTC as soon as possible, this company has changed so much since coming to Stonehouse , it's barely recognisable as the same company now.

You will never be appreciated or rewarded due to the present company ethos, the so called transformation is an absolute joke, it does nothing to address the long standing atrocious management here in Stonehouse.

The last good centre manager was Ian S, it has gone swiftly downhill since his departure and is unlikely to recover without a huge management restructure and a radical culture change .

Because Kk cannot take questions in information meeting he has stopped these meetings altogether. only one held this year but during Ian days it was 4 per year.

Not only B, but the bad management is everywhere in SHTC.

Why is supply chain manager needed from different location. Why nobody local in Stonehouse be promoted to supply chain manager position. What are cost savings by replacing supply chain manager with another person from abroad. Favouritism to its core

Total lack of effective management from the top down, everyone covering their own backs and not prepared to deal with this appalling lack of respect for the few honest hard working staff.

Sadly many good people will continue to lose their jobs until a new centre manager with some new and forward thinking views is bought in to SHTC to replace KK and his cronies ,( very unlikely to happen).

Along side this is the need for a global change in SLB management style to stop the same thing happening over and over again, people need to respected for their efforts and rewarded accordingly not ground down and set against each other by the devisive company ethos that rewards those who do almost nothing every day but rise up through the system with no knowledge of product or how to manage and motivate hard working staff .In good times when the oil price was high and huge profits were being made this masked the poor and wasteful way SHTC was run but now the chips are down the cracks are really beginning to show big time.

Why is kk not acting on the so called bad management in building B. The place has become a joke, with so many unhappy remaining staff on the shop floor. The usual suspects doing very little work, but are quick enough running to management, telling stories on others so it makes them look good.

Somebody in power, needs to sort this problem out.

Reading it is a start, you are now, as management fully aware of the problems as outlined in the above posts relating to building B.

What actions do you intend to take to resolve them ?

Reduce number of management people by terminating their employment and not by sending them to another location

Let us all report to a local newspaper or to the council or to a local MP. K2 and his management team's favoritism should b made public.

Why not report what is going on to the local newspaper, its about time this poor style of management was made public, so many jobs have been lost from SHTC already but the same number of managers still remain, WHY.
