"And based upon the interviews that were completed with current COP employees in 2016, individual qualities inch as selfishness, arrogance, data/fact manipulation, cronyism and a willingness to constantly blame others defines the "New" ConocoPhillips. "

I see you're acquainted with Brian Calloway, out of Houston !

The reason having COP on your resume hurts your chances is because you dumb f---s write all this stupid sh-- on this site. You are right, after reading the post not his website I would never hire a dumb assclown that was raised in the sh-- show you were spawned.

@H868qPw-1xhs I like your statement, the fact that it is coming from a hiring manager is encouraging.

However, we all know that you might be the manager that will pick-up the candidates based on your criteria, but the bottom line, those same managers with qualities that inch as selfishness, arrogance, data/fact manipulation… will take the final call and hire the person that seems to share the same qualities and values….

@H868qPw-1xhs - your statement " individual qualities inch as selfishness, arrogance, data/fact manipulation, cronyism and a willingness to constantly blame others defines the "New" ConocoPhillips" is completely spot on. It is almost liked you worked there. However, this was the case with the New COP, but not necessarily the old COP. Many of the people who were with the company before the split do not have these values. However, many of the current workers who are in good positions definitely personify what you say. Even then, COP definitely still has some Tier I talent.

As a hiring manager, I will interview former ConocoPhillips employees who left or were severed in or before 2015. We will not consider any current COP employees, especially those in management or supervisory roles. The reality is that we want employees who are visionary, honest and hard working team members. And based upon the interviews that were completed with current COP employees in 2016, individual qualities inch as selfishness, arrogance, data/fact manipulation, cronyism and a willingness to constantly blame others defines the "New" ConocoPhillips. It is true that some areas are better than others, but this is a direct reflection of employees imitating management.

Ryan and the rest of his clowns have turned the company to a joke.

But what goes around comes around evenly one day!

After you drink the Kool Aid, the perspective changes. For some, the crappy company becomes the best oil company in the world. Most people have good rewarding work, so the crappiness does not factor in. Salaries are good and the check do not bounce (or at least not yet). However, this is a faded company in a weak strategic situation. The future is bleak here. It is kind of like going to prison everyday...

I agree. COP on a resume used to be a great honor! Now, it is not quite the same. Right now, it all depends what division or BU you work in, and when you were hired.

Not only that but they pay more than industry. That says 2 things, 1 that's part of the reason why we are loosing money and 2 reality is getting another job if I can find one will ensure my quality of life goes down. COP sucks.
