These awards are Stupid.

in 2011 Target was awarded the Most Ethical Company ?? But got fined for Toxic dumping in my states and will continue to get fined. The Canada default was an ethical well planed expansion, the board all got raise and the next day announce Canada closing very ethical in my opinion.

Bob Ulrich received the CEO of the year in 2007 Cornell gets retailer of the year from a old school retailer magazine LOL BFD

My predictions Layoffs in Feburary with more store closings coming too....many Super Targets.

@Frm9ajT-pto: that's going to haunt you, no BS. truly the layoffs sucked and will continue to suck, but wishing harm on someone because of your circumstance and a have a piss poor attitude is shameful and ignorant.

Far as I know (gdh and jtf) you two should have been cut loose rather than me or others. You probably suck (literally) at your job. And btw, I am very healthy, thanks for your fake concern. You both suck.

Not a healthy reason by any measure. None of us, your "you" we're involved in laying you off. We're just trying to make it and hoping to gather as much info on the Target Layoff site as possible re: layoffs. It's stand to reason that if you don't work at Target any longer

Your not adding Intel, only spreading anxiety. Does that ease your frustration about how your layoff went down in any possible way?

What you don't realize is that there is still a lot of hostility about the way layoffs were handled last year from both current and former team members. We are going to troll you till Target no longer exists. Get used to it.

If you don't work at Target anymore for what possible healthy reason could you be lurking on a Target Layoff site? Makes little sense.

That has nothing to do with any culture, that's called being open and honest. It is ridiculous to comment on retail strategies with no understanding of the tools to complete sales. Targets old culture would have been to ignore such ignorance and allow the individual to "grow" in a different position.

Yep, that is the old Target culture I knew when I worked there. Don't like the message, exclude messenger from hourly coffee status . Good luck folks.

Please tell me this mental giant: @Frm9ajT-lzo does not work for Target. If he does, we're truly effed.

The fact that Target did not raise it's dividend today tells you everything you need to know about BC'S lack of progress. Hanging on for dear life.

@Frm9ajT-lzo: Your shocked because you don't get it. You know very little about retail SALES. Yes YOU can get whatever you want from Amazon, or eBay for that matter, BUT there is very little to no additional incremental sales the online sellers pick up in that purchase of whatever THAT item is your clicking on in that one online purchase experience at a time. Physical merchandising, presentation and creative assortments drive incremental sales per guest by 50 to 200% per store visit - this is how Target makes its bread and butter. Mom comes in to buy milk and walks by the Nate Berkus end cap and walks out with $200 in sheets she had no intention of buying. That is the selling side of sales.

I don't really care what a Target store looks like or assortment. I can get whatever I want from Amazon and I imagine the warehouse is a pig pen. I'm shocked you think your store appearance matters in today's retail world.

Apparently having things in stock to sell wasn't criteria for an award. I more often than not leave Target with 2-3 items that were not in stock. Every damn trip. Easy way to drive sales: get serious about filling the shelves instead of talking about it.

Have you walked into a red store lately? They really do look and feel quite a bit different. Home and electronics are HUGELY different and much improved as are the assortments. There's a fair bit of change that has taken place out there I hear it from guests every day I visit stores. It's real and pretty well received.

Based on best team survey (BTS) pulse results he may be working by himself. Only a 60% engagement score. I'll guarantee that 60% is high, most people are to afraid to be honest on those surveys. Talent will continue to bleed from Target.

Yep, he is Bold (gag). Soon we will realize his vision of being the premier retailer selling chips and Pepsi at the lone remaining target corner store.
