Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Why no news about the upcoming layoffs? HQ, you know it's coming

Ask not to whom the 9AM Meeting Notice is sent; it's sent to you. How many people (besides me) are clearing out their desks? The rumour mills are turning but no news on this site... the site is passe'?

Contractor reductions are coming. Is it better to be a contractor with a risk that you might get reassigned to another (non-Target project) or indirectly laid off, or to be a team member with a risk of a direct layoff?

Don't keep anything important at the office. Quakes can happen there at anytime.

Large contractor reductions coming over the next few months. Is it better to be a contractor (risk reassignment to another company or indrect layoff) or a team member (risk direct layoff)? What will red do with all the empty space up north?

I'm preparing (documenting) last 4 months of disgusting treatment in preparation for February layoff. If I don't get same or better package as 2015, target will pay up . Protected class.

It won't just be TTS, there will be small groups in other pyramids who are also affected by the dry-up of development and maintenance. It would be great if they'd just get it over with but I suppose sitting around and getting paid for not doing anything isn't the worst thing in the world. Update your resumes and pack up all your stuff.

There is going to be a substantial RIF in TTS in the next couple of months. Work has just dried up....it is the fact.

I'd be surprised if Corp systems has more than a VP and a few engineers left after February of this year. The company is not going to give MM money for the no value added work that has been done for years on this team.

some areas won't have new work to do so contractors are being released. If the contractors are being let go what does that say about your job? clean out the desk and update the resume

No rumours at all so far. Losing a lot of contractors this month and then more in a few months.
