Does anyone have info on potential reorg and layoffs that might be happening later in Q3 2015 at Teradata? I heard conflicting stories, some of my friends still work there, I left in 2011 but still keep track of what's happening with this once great company. You'll see many rumors on the web, so please make sure you are very careful about what you perceive as right or wrong

12/11 is tomorrow. Should we be prepared? Any layoffs in RB this week?

I'm more impressed with the reply.
....or not since your link goes back to the root of the forum. After 11,600 views I think people have gotten accustomed to coming into this thread.
All - we should transition this discussion to the main thread located here: &teradata
Yes. TD 16 is in development right now.
TD 15 has been in the market for few months now. Can we foresee TD 16 next few years? you know what i mean. Your feedback can help us where to go.

@B8mLN8E-3Jked - looks like we are in the same meeting
TMA resources will still stay at their respective offices until a buyer is announced.
This has more detail than any internal communication!

Bad decisions led to the loss of hard earned money of employees and now they are removing them (the earners)! Weird
It’s disturbing and discouraging for everyone at TD.
Agree with the previous post “it is causing serious loss in productivity”
Fire Koehler. Fire Fair and friends. Replace the board with competent technology minded people. Sack the CTO. He hasn't been a part of anything meaningful in years.
Shareholders: SELL.
management actually told people that "fear is good". (w/c is a real bs way of calming people down)
RIFs started yesterday in Dayton, not just for admin people. I'm in finance and was given a termination date in January.
TD Management is being dumb , so whats new, by being quiet.
This climate of Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt only leads to serious loss in productivity.
I am with Teradata over 10+ years. I have seen in the past too that TD management does not reveal any news to its team until it was announced publicly. I think at this point, to put a stop at all rumors, TD management should tell what has happened so far, what is the current situation & what is going to happen in the future. I think that helps everyone...
@B8mLN8E-3Ijkm stop promoting your crappy year ender. this is a thread for the layoffs.
TMA will have their all hands tomorrow.
@B8mLN8E-3Ijkm I don't think layoffs will be announced during all hands.
For Manila, there will be announcement at SM Aura SMX Convention at 7pm on Dec 10th. Everyone are advised to attend with your proper attire.
PS and Sales already had a major RIF at the beginning of August. The most recent layoffs are related to mostly admin people to my knowledge. My knowledge though is fairly limited to the Dayton people. Can't speak to Rancho or international.
Even though I did not get laid off, after reading this post I have decided to move on and find another job. I suggest everyone should leave and get jobs in other companies.
it sounds like its the admin staff that is being let go.
The company is holding on to PS and Sales staff that is performing.
The Manila Office is kept in dark, we do not know what's going on - we do have an all hands meeting scheduled for Dec-10

Layoffs in the dayton office stated on 11/19, with their last day being 12/18. A few more notices were given out late last week and some more today, with those last days being in January.
I am a virtual employee and I came to know about the layoffs by reading these posts. If there is a large number of employees getting laid off today or in the next few days why isn't there any official announcement or anything in the news?
How about El Segundo?
How many were let go in Indianapolis?

RIF is confirmed. Trigger pull was delayed by Bob Fair so he could assess the impact given his new COO title/responsibilities. Too bad Hermann was let go. He had the aggressive strategy to turn things around. I guess too aggressive for the "NCR culture" Board of Directors. The good old boys in Atlanta have maintained the status quo ...we as shareholders have lost.
Manila Site will be having their All Hands on the 10th.
All US based operations are moving to Syria.
I wonder when European offices will be told of job cuts.
Offshore is safe
What about Teradata Pakistan ?
No India will not be affected
