Mikey pay down 46% in 2019!

https://www.execpay.org/news/dxc-technology-co-2019-compensation-3415

"J. Michael Lawrie, Chief Executive Officer, received $17.3M in total, which decreased by 46% compared to 2018. 72.30% of Lawrie's compensation, or $12.5M, was in stock awards. Lawrie also received $3.1M in non-equity incentive plan, $1.3M in salary, as well as $405.2K in other compensation."*

Tears anyone?

"For fiscal year 2019, the median employee pay was $41,602 at DXC Technology Co. Therefore, the ratio of J. Michael Lawrie's pay to the median employee pay was 415 to one."

The significant thing here is that the 2018 median pay was ~$77,000 so a drop to $41,602 means that a lot of well paid employees have been RIF'ed. An awful lot.

Didn't he get his big check in 2018 from the merger? Is that factored into this decision?

@107bJ3DT-nnl said "median employee pay was $41,602 NOT in the US, Hell I was making almost double that in 2005"

But that's the point - that median pay has shifted downward so much is indicative of how much the labour force has shifted to low cost centres from the US/Europe or simply the higher paid been eliminated.

And yes, the reason for Mikey's pay "cut" is because of the value of the shares being slashed because a large amount of his pay is shares. Less share value, less nominal value of his income at the time of receipt.

Ironically, the CEO pay ratio remains broadly the same because of this - otherwise it would have shot up to 800:1

Where did you find the fiscal year 2018 median pay of $77,000?

Does this also signify that the stock price dropped and ML could not cash out as much as he did the year before?
