What exactly does OpenText have to do with AI? Do they know how to spell it?

This is a very toxic and disrespectful place to work in. US, CAN, EU, APAC - all full of toxic people behaving like trash.

Mark’s model of growing through acquisition is over. Not sure what his next gig will be. Mark and Sandy Ono are good at making a big deal about nothing. Not sure that will work in the software industry anymore either. He is a positive optimist but not sure he has other skills to bring to the table. Wonder if he’ll just get more involved in political activism or land a leadership role at Di-k’s Sporting Goods. I just time will tell.

Mark ruled the company for 13 years destroying, stifling, creating distrust and moral issues. We’ve seen yes men and those that followed him loosing any dignity they had in order to preserve their job/ career. Why did this terrible leadership last so long? How can OpenText ever recover? How many lawsuits are still pending from those Mark pushed to do so? How many careers have been ruined? How many partnerships and revenue streams did he destroy with his micro management? He really did a number on this one and all of us. Let’s not forget the game here- it’s the investors too - shareholder value being abysmal for over a decade due to Marks ridiculous shell game. What does the board have to say? It was 13 years of this not 3.

It’s about GDF Time, I hope he received 2 weeks pay, which is more than the hundreds he laid off during his tenure. Mark said how Rosie everything was, he said what a great job and how he APPRECIATES the hard work and dedication of the employees, and then he lays them off the next day. He was particularly biased against this higher paid and older in age, a bigot, a racist and I am glad he is gone. I hope he was blacklisted the S-B.

Finally he got fired, the company can now thrive and people probably won't be treated anymore as numbers. End of the woke culture at OpenText ... finally!

Mark’s leadership is not inspiring top talent rather moving resources offshore and paying them below market wages

But note that Garnett & Helfrich, the former Menlo Park private equity firm that specializes in buying out small technology companies in not listed in Mark’s LinkedIn profile. You also don’t see Scopus there either. Two places his leadership did not work. All others except Oracle are companies that were all later acquired. Big tech companies see no value anymore in “old tech”. The big tech companies have the customer already so they don’t need the base and they do see anything to acquire. OT is document management and EDI NOT AI. And the easiest person to replace at OpenText with AI is Mark.

I feel bad for everyone that doesn't understand such hatred. They obviously have never worked for an exception leader so they don't know how bad this really is.

Totally deluded.... Thinks his emails to all are inspiring, thinks he is a strategist, actually buys old companies cheap and strips them.

A self made millionaire is as true as self-laid egg.
All take advantage of the system to benefit themselves, but the average man is easily deceived by success and appearance.

Per posts on some other threads it seems like Shannon B and Paul Duggan are good ELT leaders.

Who would be a good replacement for Mark if he leaves?

Maybe he is on the verge of getting fired? His last AI e-mail seemed kind of rushed and desperate. Now comes the usual tactic of getting rid of people to recoup some losses to impress the board.

I mean the board members are all equally stupid just like him so he might be safe until the stock reaches 1 penny before they all wake up.

He's definitely a top contender. All the years of pretending like he knows anything has finally caught up to him. He's literally way in over his head about running anything. However the sole fault of why this company is tanking belongs directly to the board members, they could've fired his a-s long ago, instead they doubled down on his idiocy. Hope it was worth it.
