Intel cannot pay employees salary how is going to pay for all of these.

Deglobalization momentum continues to build. Intel's strategy to build fabs around the world except in Asia is the right strategy. Even TSMC is building plants around the world since that's what customer want. However, if China does takes over TW, those TSMC plants around the world will become Chinese companies, and very few companies will use them due to IP theft, Chinese gov't control, and likely a huge drop in yields (as all the smart engineers will flee for asylum in other countries).

It is pretending that its bussiness is doing good and expanding to attract stupid investors. They will be closed out soon because cheap workers will always deliver bad quality products

@zwb+1qLyokBM, Intel's business isn't building concrete shells of buildings. This is just wasting money and resources. This doesn't even include the money lost by the communities and countries that provided tax breaks and spent money on building up infrastructure to support an empty shell of a factory that won't provide jobs or generate tax revenue. Irresponsible excessive growth plans will impact far beyond just the Intel employees and shareholders.

Intel could always convert all those empty shells into pickle ball courts.

Don't worry those fabs will be concrete shells only

It is a huge gamble on the chance of TSMC collapsing during a takeover of Taiwan. Given the responses to the recent election in Taiwan and a US ship transiting the Taiwan straight earlier this week maybe it will come true but it is still a huge gamble. Gambling is only a solid business model for casinos. Intel is in a position to lose this bet and it won't have the capital to pay the losses. How many foundry customers does Intel actually have? Fabs are expensive and Intel won't be able to keep all of this capacity operating. If I were a construction company building all of this expansion I would want my money up front.
