With marquee tech companies laying off in thousands, and recession kicking in most Western economies, two things are clear. One- hiring is going to dry up. Two- for the few positions that may open up, a large number of very cutting edge candidates would be competing.
DXC people trying leave might find themselves at a disadvantage there ..most of us are left with little or no marketable skills .
Wonder whether we have been utter id--ts, listening to L2's false promises and believing that the raise is going to happen"next" quarter... valuable time seems to have been wasted in the process and now the doors are shutting thick and fast

OP is bang on. So dxc'ers just work in the engine room with no expected salary hike.
They don't listen to us, we don't listen to them. The people who vent here, only do so because nobody listening anywhere else. Nothing changes, eventually we realise that and give up, get out, or realise we might as well continue to take the money as long as it's going to keep coming.

That's not what I meant... completely agree that no ex Google or Twitter is going to come within 100 mile radius of DXC...I was trying to say that DXC folks might find it challenging to land offers in the market, given the glut of cutting edge technical talent coming off these companies. Especially since offers are drying up anyways.
Oh come off it, no one laid off from the big boys is going to lower themselves to work for DXC, there is no cross over between the two groups
