I shared this when I did because a family member who works for a competitor (as RN) said they left a meeting where the company was talking about this story.

Yes. This and expecting to hemorrhage Medicare members and lose funding due to reduced star ratings. This is why they're still reporting profits but laying waste to staff.

But it's not really about expecting to go into the red as a result of any of this, it's because american corporations feel entitled to double digit profits every quarter, and the public ones, including ours, are also beholden to shareholder value and major stakeholder bonuses.

Once all this sh-t hits the fan, they need to be able to report to the street that they've fired a bunch of people to protect value. After they report that, the hiring frenzy will start. Same as it ever was here.
