If she wants to be a salesperson, then she should take on goals, actually carry the numbers. Sales isn't just about talking.
The funny thing is, she’s never been successful in growing the business in any org she’s lead. Her idea of growth is to cut the most experienced also known as the highest cost resources. She aligns herself for a bunch of su-k ups who are afraid of her and don’t ever question her ideas.
She has been jumping from Network management to some group to UCS server group to IOT to security now !!

Give credit to the hardworking engineers, advance services group and many other TMEs, engineers who work hard everyday. I’m pretty sure 60-70% of engineers are hardworking.
The ones who are rotten are at the manger level and up, not enough good leaders and visionaries. 20-30% are good, rest do not have skills to mentor, motivate and hire good engineers.
Culture of layoffs, outsourcing and bias has been destroying Cisco for many years. Bad decisions like blowing $28B on Splunk will hurt Cisco in the long run. They should have paid just $5-6B for Splunk on the high end.
The market seems to like what she and others are doing. Price target of 90 looks to be in reach. Hope you are in the game.
@jz Liz took ownership of the Splunk acquisition. But yeah, she’s a typical corporate class.
It would be utterly amazing if the board actually cared to consider whether or not executives are respected. I haven’t heard a single positive thing about Liz’s vision or reputation. Imagine if we had a leader who was actually respected…the better work we’d do. Then our precious stock price would really soar.
It’s also common knowledge that Liz hates Splunk, which I find comical. Cisco brought Splunk for a reason. They were dying. Maybe she should practice “selling” before preaching to us how to act.

How can a person not feel guilty after you layoff thousands of engineers, outsource jobs to all over the world and bring in foreign contracting companies into Cisco after kicking thousands of engineers.
She can retire with all the money she has made all these years and relax at home and recover. Why get in involved in moving from BU to BU and work as under qualified tech executive all these years!!

Must be speaking from experience. She sold Cisco research down the river when she promoted her fellow Telugu RK as head of Research at ET&I. He, sheltered by VP ( name initial) squandered millions in research budget doing whatever he wanted ( for example, hiring a Google fired dr-g addict because he had a PhD and then firing him 1.5 years later ) and producing absolutely nothing while it was ET&I and then Outshift.
Liz is Telugu, has Indian ancestry and ki!!ed off whatever was left of Cisco research by appointing her home boy cheerleaders. She knows how to sell all right, when it comes to selling the company.
