Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

What are we doing here???

Can someone explain how vendors inspecting losses multiple times, higher supplement activity than ever, and still paying a licensed adjuster to settle claims saves money vs just sending an adjuster to get it right the first time???
Damn sure doesn’t please the customer.

Allstate claim reps are brutal. Most of them don’t work more than 2 hours a day and I should know since my fiancée is one of them!!!!

Don’t pick on Allstate claim reps. They have made the job un-doable. And the phone never stops ringing on calls for other people’s claims and you HAVE to answer those calls.

As an auto appraiser in the Northeast, I have to say we do more in one day than claim reps do in 3 and we handle a bunch of claim rep functions since claim reps are EASILY the worst in the industry which is regularly confirmed by customer service surveys. Maybe that’s why we make almost double what claim reps make!! 😁

Most adjusters are horrible. I have personally experienced that on simple one vehicle claims. Who cares if they write an accurate estimate- they never return calls or follow up on anything, so they better get it right the first time. Oh by the way, they don’t. Sorry claim reps, the truth hurts.

Low balling the body shops and claimants is standard procedure. Let's sc--w them over some more with constant demands for supplement to be submitted through the VA app but never have adjuster available.

Hence I cleared the task and reset the claim to make it harder.
