Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

News on bonus? Merits?

Any news on bonus or merits? Got a whole team asking here and ready to walk out unless they get proper pay. The last 2 to 3 years has been nauseous at best and running out of excuses. Lost 2 strong managers already to National and Sixt.

@OP you must actually count on your pay to make ends meet. Not the execs tho. lol they get on linked in and complain about their expensive Verizon bills and are busy blowing money traveling to Europe or out somewhere to play golf. They don’t need the money and certainly don’t work for it. Their knowledge is nothing more than the average person. They just happen to know someone who knows someone.
Good luck.

@z4 Was that supposed be valuable information? It benefits no one to see your ignorance and inability to see the big picture here. I guess I ought to thank you for revealing your opinion is worthless.

You go to the layoff site to find out when bonuses and merit are coming? This is why everyone makes fun of Hertz. Go back to playing with your gold puppies

@broke you know vikram is a family friend. Roommate of the son in college or something silly like that.

@jx indeed. Maybe the Board can throw Gilly Bean a box of fresh cigars along his massive package. The company is so doomed.

Gilly Bean can't believe how easy it is to hit his incentive. He's not healthy and will be gone soon. The rest of his delta crew are about to take home some good money at the expense of the field.
His nepotism expands to his Customer Experience hire Vikkiram who just got the same job title as the EVP of innovation nearly ded Ned. Just another example of giving your buddies more money and not expecting anything that will help the company.
No cash flow. Selling assets. High fleet interest. No matter how much "back to basics" they push, Hertz is still under water.

@cz you’re 100% correct but unfortunately this is Hertz where only the C suite get their golden packages and parachutes. They could care less about anyone below them. They are here to get one last golden deposit into their Delta accounts before the final plunge. Sorry boys, the company is dead. DEAD!

Timely compensation is not a luxury; it is a necessity. Many managers rely on receiving both their regular pay and earned incentive compensation on schedule to meet basic living expenses. Unlike senior leadership—whose compensation structures often provide greater financial flexibility; managers earning under $100,000 annually before taxes in 2026 are feeling significant financial strain.

When an organization promotes a “People First” philosophy, that commitment must be reflected in tangible actions, not symbolic gestures. Occasional morale boosters such as pizza lunches or $100 in recognition points do little to address the real financial pressures managers are facing. Appreciation is meaningful, but it cannot substitute for fair and sustainable compensation.

If the company truly intends to prioritize its people, it should reevaluate manager pay structures. Competitive salary adjustments and the option of weekly payroll, rather than biweekly, would provide meaningful relief and demonstrate a genuine investment in the individuals responsible for driving results.

Not looking any better this year. Got a homeboy in Estero finance indicating SHTF and a scramble heading to Q4 investor call. This will be my last year here. Got a great opportunity lined up. Good luck y’all!
