It was a failed acquisition from the onset, growing far less than the overall direct business industry wide, at unacceptable loss ratios. Their top two leaders are now history (J. Adkisson and Eric). And if you were in claims, the failed leaders from this less than 1% market share player ascended to dominate the AOR over the past 3-4 years. While Allstate had opportunities, over-indexing to Esurance claim handling practices has proven to be another miserable chapter that was obvious to those on the inside, and could have been avoided. Let the rebuild begin.

Just a reminder: when there's only one set of footprints in the sand, that's when Eric is carrying you!
@feb+1obf1HdW,
No need, after all my toupee is already covered by Allstate Brand Protection.
But thanks for asking - that's part of a well-executed plan.
Tom, shouldn’t you be using this valuable time spraying down your toupee with a can of V05 so it is ready for Monday??
All,
I have posted about the BOD before, and I guess I have to do so again.
Why do you think they will do anything?
I am the chairman of the BOD.
- Tommy W.
On point @yzd+1obf1HdW.
Also on him is the failure for any clear identity currently to Allstate. He fired the creative team for Allstate advertising and the team that replaced came up with those awful commercials timed to roll out with the start of TG, nothing mentioned about price or service…they were strange, confusing and stupid… They tried to be “creative”…but you still need to sell a vision on price and/or service… WHY oh WHY would a customer do business with Allstate based on that series of ads???
Then all of a sudden out of the blue we are back to Mayham slamming “low priced carriers” when Tommy boy has made clear that his only goal right now is to turn Allstate into a “low priced carrier” while continuing to be in the top tier on price vs competitors and treating the best risk long term policyholders like c@@p asking them to pay MORE when they bring LESS RISK???? Talk about a crook!!!
There is no clear vision to employees or customers and this is all on Tommy….
Can someone wake the BOD up from their nap??
I think Esurance (eSurance?) was put out of it's misery when they sent Dennis Quaid off to do cameo roles in movies about talking dogs?
Oh, also when they purchased NatGen
So much mismanagement and the buck never stops at Wilson. He cannot escape accountability. The acquisitions were made on his watch. The failed executives were hired by him on his watch. The quest for lower expenses to the detriment of any pretense of customer service was driven by him. The past focus solely on profitability at the expense of good retention is on him. Ignoring Allstate talent to hire others from mediocre at best competitors is on him.
The acquisitions that he had made that in some cases make you scratch your head is in him.. The failure to be honest with employees has led to a lack of leadership credibility and employee morale and loyalty,
When will the BOD hold him accountable is the only question that I have regarding this entire debacle,
He is not a leader that will breed success..
