Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

What is going at HR?

I have seen few Sr. Director level people at HR leave the org. Not sure if that was their choice or directly related to CDA though. With that said, I believe that was expected given that HR has a rather high number of Sr. Directors...

@3ctz, and I worked with all of them too! not sorry to hear they have left; they were useless. I left Nike because of their stupidity. Now go kiss someone else’s a–.

Don’t rely on HR. They are the source of all Nike issues. A v senior hr leader had a publication from the works council on the complete mess they made of CDO(and all true) yet they stayed and even got a new role after stringing the HR reorg on for 8 months. No one in HR respects any of the leaders and a huge exodus of talent is in full swing (voluntarily). Nike think that people will be devastated by a lay off in hr. The truth is half of HR found a better gig during the CDO reorg mess and have left that nightmare of terrible leaders behind for good.
The grass is much greener on the other side...just do it now rather than wait and suffer for a dead culture that will not revive soon.

I worked closely with 4 of the 5 people mentioned above. All are bright, dedicated to Nike, and great people who worked in difficult roles. Unfortunately for you, they also held people accountable. Sorry you didn’t meet expectations and feel the need to blame them here.

Good luck in your next role. Maybe you’ll find something without expectations and accountability where you can succeed.

It is about time that mo–ns such as C.H and S.H are gone; however, HR biz still have nasty people like C.J and HR Tech has the dumbest one of all in H.G.
