NLRB does not allow employers to prohibit any employee from speaking 🗣️ even if they are asked to sign a severance or separation agreement. Avaya can't legally scare you from sharing your experience or posting on this site. If they try to, you have further legal recourse and this is considered intimidation and bullying

Thank you. I get it. I just read up on this and didn't realize that not only is this NEW, but it retroactively applies to any/all disparagement clauses. Apparently asking employees to not speak has always been against the law. I now understand the emphasis expressed on this post as to why this is important. It is actully significant
NOTE-- I resigned almost a year ago. HR sent me some bizarre clause to sign. It made no sense. I willingly resigned and gave 3 weeks notice. They were not offering me any separation money. And then they send me legal document which included language telling me I couldn't work for a competitor, along with claiming I couldn't speak. My attorney wife took one look at it, laughed and popped a bottle of prosecco as she said 'delete it. It's total BS"

Ok.
But for current employees, can't Avaya PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE insist on stopping the Me me me me me me me me victim selfie extravaganza????????? C'mon already. Over 100 people lost their jobs and this is the cr-p that is put out??
