Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

holiday end of year = lack of inclusive leadership

End of year all hands meetings exposes Nike as culture vultures. a see of sameness in leadership roles presenting marketing and design visions to reach diverse consumer segments.

The company says sport and consumer first. this isn't about DEI, its being authentic. #readtheroom

"Our new office in India has already been single-handedly fixing racism according to the metrics driving leadership’s bonuses."
Um does that mean we move all of Nike out of the country to permanently fix "racism".
You do know what the plan is right. To keep a small contingent of "thinkers" in the US which will direct an enormous number of workers in low cost India.
By the way, India is the most racist country on the planet.

It’s time for Nike to start winning again in the marketplace. That needs to be the focus from EH on down. Either do your part or leave.

Put the athlete* and product back at the center of everything Nike does.

Our new office in India has already been single-handedly fixing racism according to the metrics driving leadership’s bonuses.

Stateside we don’t have an HR competent enough to abuse the H1B program without getting caught. We’re not a tech company after all. We sell shoes. We rent our indentured servants from contracting firms like the rest of last generation’s corporations.

DEI = Didn’t Earn It! Welcome to Nike and the Woke Culture. All of the employee groups keep segregation a live instead of uniting everyone under nike, it creates pockets and problems.

Incompetent employees that don’t know consumer, sport or the marketplace got the brand in this position…not an attempt towards diversity.

Political climbing, entitlement and complacency got the brand in this position not the attempt to have more voices and perspectives in the room that reflect the brand's consumer.

Ah Let's only foundational support and think about skin tone for videos and decks.
Also, it's sad to see people get so upset about (dare I say it) equity comments but no problem personally name calling and attacking Nike individual's character and appearance. wild.

#readtheroom I haven’t gotten my promotion yet. The dEi party can’t be over!! /s

May the best person win OP. I’m tired of everyone caring so much about skin tones and counting victimhoods like they’re metals of honor.

Just let me do my job. Please. No more drama.

You don’t have to work for Nike. You are free to work anywhere you can apply and get selected. I’m sure you are not complaining when your bonus hits your bank account every year. Did you get passed over for promotion? Did you not get selected for internal job you applied for? Maybe it’s you. Maybe you are not as talented as you think you are. Maybe no one wants to work with someone like you who walks around hating people that don’t look like them. Maybe you have a terrible reputation and you just don’t realize it. Maybe the attitude su-ks and you show it everyday to your peers and your boss. Not everyone is a victim. Do your team a favor and quit. Your negativeness is like an energy su-king vampire to people who have to work with you. And last time I checked the Nike consumer comes in all different colors and backgrounds, not just yours.

  1. This was already posted and rebutted, why repost?
  2. Craig was literally up there.

3 Affirmative action is illegal. The U.S. Supreme Court held that the policy violated the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause.

Enough of the dei banter already, companies went way too far with it throughout the last 4 years, and paid a huge price, they are now realizing and rolling back to common sense and actual profits
