Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Returning equipment

I’ve been gone from Allstate for well over a year and just got a letter in the mail that my equipment was never returned, threatening to take “more formal means to obtain Allstate’s property or that property’s monetary value”.

Thankfully I had the tracking number still, proving it was delivered and signed for 4 days after I left.

I guess transformative growth is such a disaster big blue has to resort to more desperate means to make a quick buck?

Everything about that place is pure incompetence.

@yes+1hk1hI1z one of my old coworkers reached out to me as they still had all their equipment, they had asked many times to be sent boxes to return equipment and so far nothing, ended keeping all 6 emails requesting boxes for equipment and kept all responses saying the request will be put in. The manager is not a good person so just waiting for someone to threaten to as you say "take more formal means" so they can burn this bad manager.

The area that handles equipment returns is a corporate security vendor and not even Allstate. Their ineptness and Allstate's acceptance of this should be the writing on the wall that is coming for most of us employees and for our customers and agents.

Return of equipment has been, and is still, problematic. The group who receives returned equipment is behind for whatever reasons in entering s/n on equipment into database/tracking. There is a different group who generate the nasty-gram letter. I know of at least 8 incidents since 2021 where this has happened. The number includes ex-employees equipment and when ATSC “break/fix” process

I returned all of my equipment directly to my CSL. He was accountable from that point on. It was almost a month after my last day, my company cell phone was still active and had never been shut down. I loaded in the back of his company vehicle and found out later he was laid off within a month. Not sure if the equipment was ever returned.

My CSL asked me a month after I left if I ever sent it back. Glad I saved the tracking info. Wow are they messed up at Allstate!!!!

In 2020 they actually threatened former employees with theft arrests and charges with their local police if laptops and towers were not returned by a certain time. Some of these people I know never got the promised boxes and shipping labels before they received the threatening letters. As far as I know no one was charged but that just shows the arrogance and bullying tactics of the evil sl--e running and ruining this company.
